Newbie - probably a rehash

Hello everyone, we are new to RCI, as we purchased a resale from a relative of a close friend. Problem is, we have no idea how to do anything. We are on the points system 48,500 per year. To start, how do we find out what there is available on last call vacations through their website. It doesn't seem to appear on the search for availability page. Also there is supposed to be some sort of search for finding what is available on a particular date, and we cant seem to find that either.
Can anyone give some pointers?

We'll be happy to help you figure out RCI on-line.

Last call and Extra Vacations can be found here by clicking the tab "vacation offers" once you sign in to your account.

Your on-line searches for points can be accessed 2 different ways. Click on "RCI Points Vacations". You can click on the "standard reservation" which would be points only resorts and can search up to 10 months out. OR you can click on "RCI Weeks Reservation" which will allow you to look up to 2 years out. Insert your dates and location(s) and away you go.

Thanks Lawren, this is a good start. I guess, I was looking for something more specific in my searches. I expected to see something like a search for a particular date for example like what is available for March 2nd, rather than having to be so specific such as the area.
I appreciate your tips, and hope to learn more as the days come.

I wish it were that easy. Interval International works that way but not our "friends" at RCI.

Unfortunately RCI on-line is a very very cumbersome and time consuming website. We have exchange opportunity forums here. You can see them if you contribute to the site or once you have reached 15 posts. I do the RCI ones each morning, Angela does Interval and then we move on to the Independents.

We also will look for specific things if we know our members are looking for them. Saves a lot of time for our members. You learn what you can get, what shows up. Probably one of the big perks of this site.

We login as Weeks members so I'm not sure if the Points login is any different, but if you're looking for specific dates for Last Call & Extra Vacation Getaways...

- Click on the "Vacation Offers" tab & the corresponding type of offer you're looking for. It should pull up a world map.

- The frames on the left side give you all the different search filter options. "Check-in" date is right below "Region"

- Click on the month that you're looking for & you can narrow it down to the exact day for whatever getaways you're looking for once the calendar comes up.

Unfortunately, the exchange search for availability is a little more ambiguous than their Getaway search features as Lawren noted already.
