I looked last night and wasn't seeing the low-VEP places. But I know for a little while there I was seeing Tristram's Landing--first no, then yes, over the course of several months. Now no again? I'll look in the dead of winter and see what I see. Thanks to both of you for looking.

Okay, so in January 2009, I can see both Tristram's Landing and Mariner's House. I get the impression Tristram's VEP has come up recently. Anyway, only ten places in Massachusetts total for January 2009.....

Hello,

Thank you for your reply. The VEP of requested resorts must fall within
an allowable range of that of the deposited unit being exchanged. When
requesting Extra Vacations with a Guide, you can select which of your
timeshare ownerships you would like to use for VEP comparison. Online,
our system currently defaults to use the resort represented by the first
four digits of your RCI ID number.

We will do some checking to see what we can find out about how this
process is affected by your initial resort's discontinuation with RCI.

I recall Madge explaining this in the exact same way (perhaps you are communicating with Madge?). Anyway, s/he went on to say that RCI was planning a web site mod to allow users to select the resort (and thus VEP) for EV and LC searches online. I won't hold my breath waiting for the web site improvement.

It sounds like Madge or pseudoMadge might be looking into that.

I have no complaint about what we see in EV or LC. I just feel a little uncomfortable with an ID from a resort that no longer is and a Westgate one at that. That's sorta 2 of my 3 strikes right there.

It's a shame about the aliens abducting Madge the way they did. Even if you didn't agree with everything, it was nice to have stuff put in print. I searched some things OY today, that folks seem to have missed or forgotten, and there it was.

Maybe that's the problem, that what was said was recorded. I know folks who don't like that, to have what they say and do recorded.
