RCI called last week. My SB Houses exchange for Thankgsiving week was canceled. They've offered me a three bedroom unit at the same time. How bad are they? Is there anyplace/unit that I need to request?

I'm just amazed that RCI can do this. I have plane tickets already purchased.

The Houses at Summer Bay are awesome...especially the private pool. Do not let RCI get away with this without compensating you in some way. From what others have said, you should ask them to waive the exchange fee, give you back your original week and have them place a "supervisor's week" into your account.

You have to call in order to use the supervisor's week (I think that is what it is called) but it will get you any available exchange. Don't know if you can place a request with this week or if it is just what is available at the time you call.

Best of luck with this and do not give in. This is unacceptable as your family really had their hearts set on that private pool...didn't they?

We absolutely had our hearts set on it. Do you think that I can get my plane tickets refunded? I don't even want to go now.

RCI will not refund your plane tickets. I think that what I said before is your best case scenario.
