The thing is, if the resort desk doesn't see the name of at least one guest checking in on the confirmation sheet and/or RCI's guest list, they can refuse to check the person in. They have no way of looking at your RCI account, all they have is that paper, and the guest list as provided by RCI. No telling what RCI would send in, if his name wasn't already on the account name when you originally confirmed. So talk to them about that.

Thanks. I will call the resort first - although I've read that the staff at the Galleon is tough to work with. Then on to RCI if I think I need to cover my bet even more.

I am in the market for another trader TS. If I put the new one (if/when I buy it) in a new RCI acct, just in my DH's name, we'd be able to try for the Galleon more often...right? This year's exchange (in my name only) I can CG to the buddy. Is this a good way to work the restrictions?

Do you really want to pay annual fees for 2 RCI accounts just so you can go to the Galleon every other year rather than 1 in 4? I wouldn't... but then, I've never been to the Galleon even once! There are so many places to go... if I were you I'd just add my husband's name to my RCI acct, and go with the first plan to avoid the GC fee. But I'm not you, maybe it's worth it to you to spend the extra $.
