I can't even believe I'm posting this, but really, I'd post it if another company came through so it seems only fair.
I am really impressed with the fact that RCI matched my ongoing request for SW Florida for the upcoming April break, to Eagle's Nest. Seems there is more in the thirty day window in RCI than I realized.
And I like the fact that RCI keeps an ongoing search active until the last minute (though you can't start one within 30 days) -- in the past I found things in II inventory that should've matched an ongoing request but didn't -- according to a supervisor it's because within flexchange the ongoing search d/n necessarily get priority.
So, there it is. A lot of nailbiting, searching three exchange companies, friends offering help (thank you all, VERY much) and RCI wins. And, btw, I threw back a number of perfectly ok standard resorts on the beach in the last few weeks that they matched to my request -- but it paid to be picky in the end. Or to play 'chicken,' with them, as Lawren put it.
But I am still ticked with them over any number of anti-member policies, don't worry, I've not gone soft in the head.
