I own a 2 bedroom LO in FLL. For the past 2 years I have split into a studio and 1 BD. This year I wanted to deposit it as a 2 BD.

The RCI "guide" told me that was impossible; my resort said it has to be split.....If I own a 2bd, I can deposit a 2BD, right?
I can deposit the 2BD into II with no problem.

I asked to speak to a supervisor and he put me on hold...never to come back again..

I would say that is not a true statement. I have seen plenty of units that I know for a fact are lock-offs deposited in RCI. 3BDRMs at Cypress Pointe I, 2BDRMs at Sedona Resort on the Ridge just as a couple of examples.

Which call center did you speak with?

Call your resort to confrim what RCI told you. I don't believe you recieved correct information from RCI. I have never heard of someone who owns a 2 bedroom that can not deposit the whole unit.

Doesn't sound right. You should be able to deposit the week as a 2 bdrm.

What? I have a 3 br that breaks down into a 2br and a 1br. I know the whole thing can be deposited b/c I've SEEN the 3br available for exchange at RCI. There are no non-lockoff 3brs at the resort.

I don't know which call center I spoke with, but I'm pretty sure it was overseas somewhere, definitely not Indiana.

I wish I saved all the numbers for all the offices that I found on some site several weeks ago....too lazy to bookmark that night!

CSR probably makes twice the 'commission' with two deposits to their credit.

Just as a follow up... it took 2 days and 4 calls to speak to New Brunswick. They couldn't understand why Manila wouldn't bank as a 2BD, he said maybe they were all new
