  • RCI Deposits - VG credit

I learned something today. I knew that RCI guides get credit if you bank a week, make an exchange, etc. What I learned is that when you get asked by a VG if you want to bank, the guide that asks you puts their code in, regardless of whether you bank or not. If you do wind up banking a week within a certain time frame, then they get the credit, even if you bank it with a different guide later.

The only reason I found this out is when I talked with a guide, I'd asked to bank my week in one account and she asked if I wanted to bank it in my other weeks account. I asked her why and she said she got credit for the other one but not for the one I wanted to bank it to. She was honest about it, which I appreciated. She actually remembered me from calling in the other week when she "pulled some magic" on an exchange.

I don't mind someone doing their job well getting credit. I don't like some inept person getting credit on something they couldn't do properly which prompted me to call back to talk with someone else.

    INTERESTING!

I wonder how long that "credit" sits in an account when you talk to the inept rep?

Too bad RCI's system isn't like II where you can call directly to a specific guide. However, she did tell me what days and times she works. So I may ask for her in the future. Fine by me.

Off Topic but the "inept guide" remark made me remember talking to a guide and he jollied me along quite well... until my exchange to Arroyo Roble came up and he told me how lucky I was and that I shouldn't expect such great exchanges all the time and to stay at such a lavish place.... to be staying where the Love Boat comes into port!

LOL! Wouldn't that be a sight??? The Love Boat sailing thru the Aizona desert to port at the Arroyo Roble!

Needless to say that at that point I realized who/what I was REALLY talking to.
