    Just had a conversation with an RCI IT rep about some difficulties I was having with my Points account on-line.
    He was amazingly good - friendly, professional,helpful,understanding,knowledgeable about both IT AND exchanging, and patient with my computer illiteracy.
    It was by far the most positive corporate interaction (including non-timeshare related) I have had in a very long time.
    I am blown away, and yes, I will be writing a letter of recommendation.

    So share what was wrong with it!!! I know you aren't alone with RCI Points issues lately...

    So glad you got a great support person.

    Unhappy that it is such a rare occurance at RCI we feel we should write commendations if it happens.

    But I'm with you, I do write them for "above and beyond".

      I try to call RCI as little as possible, but did call about an ongoing search of mine. The girl that I got was great. Wasn't able to get resorts I wanted, but seemed very knowledgable and helpful. I could understand her and she could understand me.

        I misread the title

        When I first read the title for the original post, I thought it read 'Wow, great service, not really' as there are frequently complaints, and so I expected a problem with your experience. Wonderful that there are some out there that can really be a tremendous help. Is it possible to ask for that person by name? What a great resource you'd have then. Kind of like TimeshareForums.com, it has been a wonderful resource and means to share information on such a wide range of topics. Thank you all so very much to everyone! Gary

          I don't think that you can request specific counsellors from RCI. II it is possible.
          Additionally, because this fellow was with their IT department, he wouldn't handle regular calls anyway.
