I was impressed every day that you pulled this together. It has been helpful not just to take advantage of this very minute, as others have said, but to be thinking about what might come up at the last minute next summer or the year after. Thank you so much for all this effort.

One other comment that may seem obvious is the significant increase in availability of both LM east & west coast for mid-Aug on compared to July availability. This would be due to the varying start dates of the different school calendars geographically. Pretty much all schools are closed in July but Aug is a different story.

So the conclusion is matching M Aug availability with travel in both coastal areas is a good bet if you can hold out on the wait if you're a planner or wait until the latter part of summer if you don't plan.

Past 15Aug you can get a lot of places. Many in driving distance locations. Even impossible to get Wisconsin Dells started popping up among some other rare gems.

This works well for us here in NY tri-state as our children don't return until after Labor Day!

The fact is people panic and withdraw their searches. If it is a driving vacation I believe even in July if you are willing to wait the match will come. Some areas I am more sure of than others now.

Chiming in here on how much I too appreciate the info you've gathered - and shared!

I do a search on RCI ex-ops when I am considering a place... so I can get an idea if my desired timeframe ever pops up.. helps me to get a handle on how hard a trade it might be.
