I believe you; but I have also seen "immediate" trade like the devil prior to verification and I have see weeks that didn't get any better after verification as well.

Nothing hard and fast in the world of RCI. Look up capriciousness in the dictionary and you'll see the RCI logo.

Personally I think a Walden July week deposited 15 to 24 months out would be a better than moderate trader as I've personal experience with those Inverness weeks, but you can't get what's not there either... I am willing to bet the initial deposit didn't pull anything because it was under 12 months out. I've seen Cape Cod summer weeks be a dog deposit at 10 months out in my own personal account.

The only one of the 3 locations that could be gotten without a lot of luck would be the 2BDRM summer Cape Cod.

Lawren, I just saw your posting for week 34. Unfortunately, we are back in school by then. I tested the 2009 week in II today (not deposited, but verified in their system). I would get an AC if I deposited, but really I am not pulling anything appealing. I am thinking I will save the 2009 week for use with TPI or another independent, and may bite the bullet and deposit the 2010 week in RCI. Still ruminating over it.

        Calgal,

Of course you visit the ex-ops boards here and you know the "resort" I have in mind. Not many 2 bdrms up there but that one is very nice. I know someone who owns for use and my friend's mom was just up there and can't wait to go back.

Unfortunately II and the majority of the independents won't have much in the area so that leaves RCI as the major player.

Once you deposit, drop me a PM and I'll gladly let you know what I'm seeing. You stand a much better chance if you can use any week prior to or ending on or about June 25. That is when the majority of northeast kids get out of school and the "real" summer begins.

If it dogs out on you in RCI you might have the chance to pull it back if you act quickly and it hasn't been taken in exchange.

            I can't search after depositing

OK. I did an online deposit of the 2010 week five minutes ago, logged out, logged back in, and under "exchange a week" it states that I currently do not have any weeks available to exchange. I wonder why I don't get to search immediately and some of you report that you do

Is this a fixed week or a floating week? With my fixed week I can search almost as soon as I deposit--it appears as Pending or something like that. With the floating week, I have to wait till the resort does the actual deposit and confirms it, and then it appears directly in the Weeks to Exchange area, not as Pending.

Well, it's a fixed week 27, but RCI does not seem to know that. I saw something online like "You have no fixed weeks to exchange." Don't remember the exact wording. So, I will call tomorrow and clarify with them.

Is it there yet? And which call center did you get. I have had horrible issues depositing weeks this year. Best job done by New Brunswick, Indy and Toronto. Anywhere else and you have to do it like 4 times until it is done right.

I think I did the fixed-week deposit online.

It didn't go too well. RCI insists that the resort only has floating weeks, and I cannot possibly own a fixed week 27. I spoke with a VC in the Phillipines.

Not a good sign at all. Try calling at different times of day OR dial the RCI Indianapolis direct number:

                        United States and Canada
                        RCI North America Office
                        9998 North Michigan Road
                        Carmel, IN 46032
                        Phone: (317) 805-9000

Hopefully it won't transfer you out to another center.

                          Is my account looking right?

Today. my "deposit my week" page looks different in that it lists 2 Inverness weeks each for 2008, 2009, and 2010. However, the unit # and interval # fields are still blank. If they know this to be a fixed week (which the VC today acknowledges) shouldn't it list the specific unit number and interval "27"?

                            Update

So I called RCI to see how I can tell on line which week is the new week (I have already used my 2009 and 2010 original Inverness unit exchanging in II). They told me that I own a white floating week and a red floating week. Huh?These are both week 27s!! So the VC removed all Inverness weeks from my account and is starting the process of verifying them all over again.
Somehow the karma around these weeks and RCI is not good.
