  • RCI Exchange Opportunity (aka Torture) of the Day

I was inspired this morning. I thought I'd start a new thread today. I see so many wonderful things available on a daily basis and some of our members aren't aware of how thorough the searches are here. Angela, the many contributors and myself do NOT fool around. The perfect exchange is serious business to us!

Somedays there isn't anything "special" per se but there is always at least one that is worth spotlighting. Sometimes it's points, sometimes it's weeks. If I had started this yesterday it would probably have been Manhattan Club Oct/Nov 2009 in weeks...

Unfortunately for our members I get to decide which one is the "I want to go THERE" exchange opportunity of the day in RCI.

Today's winner ( a real to die for exchange):

    Ca' de Venezia (#4250)
    Venice, (VE), Italy

    RCI Points Range: 58,000
    Available Unit Size: 2 - 2
    Check-in Date Range: 8/1/09

This is one of 4 apartments right in the heart of VENICE! Here is a link to the descriptions: Resort Ca' de Venezia - timeshare flats in Venice

    I'm still drooling.

For a small donation to the site, a resort review or 30 posts you can see everything, everyday for all the exchange companies.

I wonder what I'll see tomorrow?

Wonderful idea Lawren! We truly appreciate the work that is done for the exchange opps - this is the icing on the cake.

      Venice

Lawren, As soon as I saw your sighting, I went to my RCI points account and sure enough...there it was! We were planning to go to Italy in September 2009 and wanted to avoid August with all of the European travellers, but it sure is tempting.

[SIGN]Thanks for your work.[/SIGN] I read your posts every morning.

Today's top pick was a tough choice. I actually had to toss a coin!

        The winner is:

        Samoset Resort (#0624)
        Rockport, ME 04856, USA

        Available Unit Size: 1 - 1
        Check-in Date: 08/27/2010

A pretty rare Labor Day sighting for Samoset in RCI Weeks.

You should see what the runner up was!

Samoset is one of my favorite resorts. Excellent choice.

Remember week 34 is the easiest summer week to get top tier resorts many are available immediately or through ongoing searches. I have been to Cape Cod, Virginia Beach, Hilton Head at that time. Many folks are afraid of the huricane season

              OMG

              Venice....Samoset.....

I think this thread should have a subtitle:

"Torture of the Day (for those of us who can't get these exchanges!)!"
Life is short, live it with this awareness.

Perfect title. Applies to those who can't get them, and those who can't take advantage of them.

Yeah, maybe we need some selling points. Should Pat and I be adding this to our list of Places We Didn't Know We Wanted To Go? Or is is a slower day on ExOps?

eta: Ok, I just checked, ExOps appear quite fruitful today... so there must be something we don't know... OR Lawren chose this over Provence since the Provence unit is a studio? Or b/c she chose a European sighting already this week.. , or c) all of the above

I'm probably the only person on the planet that can look at 60 weeks and 500 resorts in the caribbean and not post ONE of them because none entertained me enough.

                        Choice B was Bermuda check-in 8/1/09 POINTS.

                        Shouldn't I pay attention to the left-coasters?

I put in a seach for Bass Lake

                          FYI,

I put in a ongoing seach for Bass Lake next summer. I don't think I have enough juice to get it but would be great if I did.

                          Thanks Lawren

By the way, Bass Lake is a cool place to launch from if you want to see Yosemite!

IMHO Bass Lake summer was a GREAT sighting. That's summer Yosemite folks-let alone the lake, which I'd go to just hang out on the lake (but then I have a boat) I have only 5 nights booked through WM and that was nearly a year out. 6/29 to 7/3. I'd have taken that
6/27 to 7/4 week but I don't not belong to RCI. I am sooo resisting joining-but this making it hard.

Good to know that WM throws up winners to RCI-since they left II-it seems like they only throw up mud weeks-but shhhh...don't tell..II still gives WM great trading power.
