  • A pleasant surprise

I'm sending my Mom to Florida for a couple weeks in February '09---back to back weeks at Summer Bay. I added her GCs today, and was happy to learn that even though she's there for two weeks, it only cost one fee.

    Who'd'a thunk?

Nice! Now take the money you saved and play the lottery!

They are getting more 'nice' - it makes me suspicious!
That certainly was a pleasant surprise - especially since the same 'privilege' using your owned points at Wyndham would have cost $99-$129 PER WEEK .

No, only the second week and only if you booked it as two individual weeks rather than a single 14 day stay. You get one free GC each use year so at worst it would be $99 on line or $129 if you called in (why would you do that?). The horror over the fees at Wyndham is way overblown as in most cases and with just a bit of careful planning most owners won't pay the fees.

Sorry John. it annoys me and I am entitled to my feelings.
I booked a 2 day stay for my DD in STT to tag on to another week stay in STJ - and this is now going to cost me.
I own many weeks and my friends and family travel without me - so this IS going to effect how I planned to use this ownership - as being able to book 'short stays' instead of only 'traditional' full weeks.
