They need to work out some big kinks like keeping units in the database that are really not available(or I do not have trading power or priority to trade into).

I've been after a Worldmark Bass Lake unit and it keeps telling me they are no longer availiable.

I did finally manage to put a HGVC Bay Club 7/12/09 unit on hold after several attempts.

It seems to be seaching a database that has been picked over already. The total units did not change for several house this morning. After about 2 hours the seach finally dropped off the Bay Club unit I had on hold.

I think I like it, maybe

My main complaint is you can't tailor your search immediately. For instance, if I want a 2 bedroom unit in a certain area for a certain date, it take 3 searches to get it to that level. Why not set up criteria first, then search? Also if I want to do more than 1 month, I have to do 2 different searches.

(May all be user error as I only played with it a very little bit)

Logging out and back in cleared that for me. I actually got to the hold/confirm page on the Hershey 7/09 week with a white week but I will be in Hawaii then.

A white week!!! and I called and he all but said it was there and would not match it for me......I explained that I had an ongoing search and a friend of mine was able to pull it. Also that my week had been in deposit over a year, my week was the week before this exchange week would be and that they were both inland resorts...... Now I know there are other factors but my high red week at a gold crown should trumph a "white week"

As one who has encouraged folks to seek knowledge, repeatedly in the last couple of weeks, I like it from that standpoint.

If you bother to pay attention to the mostly useless and unbelievably voluminous information as you slog through the steps to get to what you used to get to the first step, there is a lot to be learned.

For instance, in the next to last step, after I have narrowed down to Southern Gulf, you can see numbers of units available by location and by month. December was something like 46 and January was 4.

For someone new, who might know enough to know that they want to know that kind of stuff, which very few will, that would be nice for them to pay attention to. The stuff that I have spent the last five or six years telling folks . . . that there isn't diddly in January any more . . . is right there.

But, as for me, I still just wanna search FL/SW FL for a range of dates, first step, first search, get the results, and go on with my day.

Period.

I can pull great exchanges this AM, but when I go to confirm them, there is a glitch and I can't confirm. I called RCI and got the usual doublespeak. They are showing me the whole inventory but not allowing me to confirm with the blue 2BR I am using. Unfair to tease like that.

Same for me!!!! I can see all the units available, but can't confirm or hold and, OF COURSE, the RCI guides say, "These units aren't really available. They have been taken by another member!" Lies!!!!!! Lawren has seen these same Yosemite Bass Lake units in July for the last week! Thanks Lawren!

OK, after sitting at DW's computer station, her oversized, recliner/snuggler, and using her DSL laptop, my letter would now read:

What is important is that we do not want the 2 that are available on our check-in date on one search and that the resort we need on the other search is not available the month we need it.

I still see a perfect Kona week today, and cannot hold or confirm it. I erased all my cookies, tried 2 different browsers and computers, and still no go. I think I have been wholly blocked from confirming Hawaii while they work on the glitches because I tried to hold a standard 1BR in Hawaii as an experiment and could not even do that.
