Better check your confirmed exchanges

I just checked our confirmed exchange area on RCI.

They listed our future confirmation resort correctly, but the check in date has been changed to a past date....that means we have "lost" our exchange if the page is to be believed. However, the printable page of the confirmation shows correct right now....Be sure you have a printable copy, and email RCI if your confirmation is mis-stated on the confirmation list.

I think I read about this problem, maybe on TUG. It appears there is a glitch in the RCI database. The dates are still correct, just showing up incorrectly. Still a pain, until you straighten it out.

Just went in and found that our dates for next summer at the Bay Club had been changed. I called RCI and they confirmed that yes, they've been having trouble with online and that the correct dates are still showing in their database.

So typical of any RCI "enhancement" done....we are their guinea pigs as they stumble around messing around with deposits, exchanges, and accounts. Why do they set things in motion that have so many unproven parts?

So I wrote an email to RCI to request that they straighten out the information on my future confirmed exchange...

Here is the reply....so typical of their careless implementation style!

Hello,

Thank you for your e-mail.

There have been "start up" problems with the Enhanced online Search for
Weeks members. Please keep trying until it shows correctly. It should
be corrected shortly.

At least you have a confirmation in your account. When I make an exchange with a generic Wyn deposit, no confirmation information is shown in my account. The only confirmation I get is a letter from RCI that shows my exchange.

I had hoped that RCI would add these exchanges to my account so I can have a level of comfort that the exchange still exists.

Yes, as to making exchanges with "generic" week deposits. They show up in the Supplemental Weeks category when I deposit points. They don't appear in the visible or searchable weeks.

I think I exchanged with a One plus One week (sic?) and it did not show up in my account either. It was a Supplemental Week.

The only exchanges that show up in your account I guess are those visible weeks you can search with online.

The account summary has the wrong dates, but the confirmations themselves, if you click through, are all correct in my account.

Finally got into confirmed exchanges and dates changed on two of them. Sent an email with no response as yet...what a mess RCI has made...plus I cannot hold nor book anything else.......

Worldmark generics also do not show like Wyndham, I called and they faxed me all my confirmations that were not showning up.

Tonight my confirmation has totally disappeared.

The IT team at RCI continues to be the pits....it is an embarrassment to call them IT....unless the " I " stands for "Irritating" and the "T" stands for "Twits"!

My conrimed exchanges continue to show wrong dates but email response from RCI, states it is system and listed correct dates....

I am off on vacation tomorrow so I hope there is better news on new RCI enhancements when I return....Have agreat week everyone!!
