  • Holding a week now cancels ongoing search

So now RCI posts a notice that if you put a week on hold, your ongoing search will be canceled... sounds ok, some of us are annoyed at an ongoing search being maintained after a week is released. BUT it means that now you lose your place in the queue for your ongoing search(es) by putting a week on hold.

So I held a week that was released, and my banked week is now back in my weeks available for exchange. But of course when I try to reenter my search, the system wants another exchange fee, even though I now have a $259 balance and a $100 coupon.

I am on the phone with RCI now. The VG, very nice and no rookie, has no idea that they changed the system to cancel searches. ANSWER: She says it's a temporary glitch... we'll see...

    This is not good....
Hope they "adjust" the new system.

If I remember, their last "enhancement" also was timed at years end, where there is a very good chance such "errors" can help them pad their income reports, and inventory numbers and such.....I hardly doubt that this type of "glitch" doesn't have some built in benefit for them while screwing their customers.
Life is short, live it with this awareness.
