Temptations (Premierbyoriginalresorts) owners
As some readers will already know RCI recently changed their rules for Points Partners. The new rules for the vast majority of RCI points holders allows them to use 33% of their Yearly allotted points for the Points Partners program. This would mean if you get 90,000 points from your resort, yearly, you can use 30,000 for the partners program.
However Premierbyoriginalresorts members, which include Temptations, BlueBay and Desires are on a different scheme. Anyone who recently bought with Premier or modified their Timeshare agreement could be entitled to use up to 100% of there transferred points for the Partners program.
I phoned RCI yesterday and was told I can use all of my points for the Partners program if I wish, in my case that's 200,000+ points, which are good for flights, car rentals, regular hotel bookings etc.
There is a catch however, owners who have not bought recently with Premier, and are on the original Premier program i.e own millions of points, may not be able to get the benefits of the new RCI program.
I have spent about 4 hours on the phone with RCI, in the last 2 days, and the bottom line is, You need to contact RCI and find out exactly what your membership gives you. RCI points have set up speciality phone reps to deal with Premierbyoriginalresortmembers.
