I booked a Beach Club unit last night about 9:30 pm. I also booked Animal Kingdom Villas! As far as I know, I might be the first person on TS4MS/TUG to get a DVC in RCI, or to get an Animal Kingdom exchange at all? Do I get a prize? (Oh yeah -- the prize is that I get to go to Disney! )

    Some quick info:
The $95 fee is still in effect, for both Weeks and Points (no surprise!)
The inventory I can see in RCI Weeks appears to be completely different from what I can see in RCI Points. (Details are on the RCI ExOps Board.)
The RCI Points values are sky-high, especially for the two-bedrooms (up to 118,000 in summer)
    No mention of 1-in4!

no 1 in 4 but a 30 mile radius restriction for orlando resorts

judy did you get a 2 bedroom akl like we did yesterday??? ( off season of course )

what view does your exchange say .... value, standard or savannah view ( might be interesting since they do not seem to have a specific view attached to these exchanges through RCI )

also which part of akl villas will it be in Jambo House or K ( not sure of its name ) village

what kind of unit do you have to have to see DVC in weeks???

Looks like the resorts are finally in the online directory. Two sets of resort id's, but the second set don't seem to be used for anything yet.

lawgs: you need a top-shelf trader in Weeks. In II, the view was never specified in the exchange certificate---you had to call Member Services with the Disney reservation # and ask them to look it up. But, each week in II inventory came from a specific pool, and that could not be changed. For example, most OKW weeks were in General Resort, not Hospitality House---you could ask to be closer, but you could not get one of the HH buildings. I'd assume the same will be true in RCI.

In general, the views deposited are those in less demand with the members. That can sometimes work in your favor. For example, at BWV, you'd never expect to get "standard" (parking lot) view, because the Members book those up first to take advantage of the low point values. On the other hand, you wouldn't expect to get Boardwalk view, for the same reason. I have a sneaking suspicion that, at AKV, that will mean the smaller Value units in Jambo house with lower point values won't be deposited, because they are very popular (cheap). I think that's good news for exchangers, because the Kidani units are larger, have an extra bath, and a sleeper chair in addition to the sleeper sofa---excellent for families with kids who won't share a bed. We'll have to see if that really happens.

Hope someone can enlighten me. I have a points account and can see weeks up to 10 months. Shouldn't I be able to see Disney's availability to the 10 month mark? I am confused.

        Thanks

          Donna,

Using Points to search Points you should see Disney resorts. This morning I saw May the Sept. You have to pull them by resort name.

I have seen a couple in the points section, but I thought I also should be able to look in the weeks section and be able to see what is in weeks.

You won't because the DVCs are points resorts and the online website doesn't allow you to see weeks in points resorts using points.

T here are a weeks component of Disney too. If I call would I be able to get one? When I go on the web site, I can search resorts using the weeks section, but the Disney properties do not show up, others do.

                Thanks

With that said, it would lead me to believe that your week may not be strong enough to pull those DVC weeks. However you may never know unless you try and you have nothing to lose.

Currently there is no 1 in 4 rule against you coming back as often as your weeks is able to pull DVC unit and paying the exchange fees.
