  • Can anyone with a Wyndham week deposited see DVC?

I am still waiting to close on my 203K point Wyndham Kingsgate resale. Of course, now I'm dying to know if it will be able to see DVC if I deposit it. Does it matter what Wyndham resort you own for DVC sighting purposes? Also, how many points would I have to deposit to get a 2 BDR in DVC? We tend to go in shoulder seasons. I am an experienced II trader but I am new to RCI. I bought the Wyndham points to use at Bonnet Creek, but I'll gladly exchange them for DVC instead if they can see it on RCI. Thanks!!

I would be shocked if any amount of points would see a DVC resort.

I'm really new to Wyndham/RCI, but there are a LOT of DVC weeks showing up in RCI weeks right now. Are Wyndhams really such poor traders that they would never be able to see those? I didn't buy my Wyndham points to trade, but I would trade them if they could see DVC.

Hard to say. Wyn FSP only has mediocre trade power. DVC is in Orlando. It's the resistable force vs. the movable object.

Well, my 70k search (and many believe that more points won't harvest any better results)does not show any DVC. I do however see 2 HGVC resorts in that location. Now and then I see some Bonnet Creek, which could save you some points if the dates align with your needs. Many believe we get some sort of advantage, in that we see a lot of wyndham resorts, searching with our points. Weak traders in general, yes they are but many great vacations to be had with some searching patience.(caymans, mexico, hawaii, etc)

Thanks for checking! I will be using the Wyndham points at Bonnet Creek for long weekends, so I don't think that trading for it will work for us. I have some other timeshares that I may look at depositing for DVC trades.

I wouldn't stick a fork it in just yet, either. Unless the RCI VC knew what s/he was doing, it's easy to look for these and not find them---they aren't fully integrated into the online directory yet.

More reports in a variety of places suggest that the only way a Wyndham owner is going to see these is through Plus Partners' access to Points inventory. In general, only those who have at least one developer purchase are in Plus Partners, unless you've enrolled explicitly.
