    RCI Weeks Exchange Program Settlement

Anyone have any other information as to what is going on or how one should proceed. Is everyone who owns a week exchange and deposited included or do you have to file to be on the claim?

You need to file a claim to be able to choose one of the following "special" benefits. The below is copied from the FAQs:

    "What are the settlement benefits?

If the Court approves the settlement and you do not exclude yourself, current members automatically get the benefit of the changes to RCI’s operation of the Weeks Exchange Program.

In addition, eligible current members have their choice of one of five special benefits. A current member can choose: (1) the opportunity to search available inventory and make an exchange request prior to depositing your vacation time; (2) a $20 credit that can be used toward a membership renewal or toward your next exchange; (3) a prorated refund of your subscription fee and a refund of fees you’ve paid for a pending exchange requests, should you decide to end your Weeks Exchange Program membership; (4) one free night stay at any RCI rental that can be used toward the same room of any paid rental of at least one night; or (5) a $100 discount certificate per cabin for the purchase of any cruise offered by RCI, with the option of receiving additional $100 discount certificates toward the purchase of up to three additional cabins for the same cruise. Eligible former members can request to receive a $15 credit toward re-joining the Weeks Exchange Program or request a $15 payment from RCI. "

Item (1) is interesting, I can't believe that's limited to a one-time settlement deal, it's what II does as standard business. I also thought they were already doing (3).

Is this supposed to be able to be accessed from the RCI site? (You asked if anyone noticed this while "logging on") Nothing pops up when I log on to RCI, and they are certainly asking for a lot of information! And why are there pages of names listed?

Guess I was kind of asking 2 questions...... 1) do you see this and 2) inplied - what do you think about this offer?

If guilty, I think the peace offering is kind of lame, but then again "if" they were to offer more the members would be having to still carry the burden of payment. Either way upper management is once again not going to be affected in big business.

I do not see it logging in. I have been a RCI weeks member for 13 years so I do not know why I don't see it. There are spinning issues with the search engine this weekend so I will check tomorrow.

I saw it the benefits dont look like much to me
When you go to the login page it is in YELLOW
              "WEEKS CLASS ACTION SETTLEMENT"
The attorneys involved are the only real big winners.

This doesn't look like much of a deal to me. Who did these lawyers ask before they agreed to it? Did RCI pay them something on the side?
