  • Ultimate Vacation Guide ?

That's what they now call it and mine came in yesterday for RCI weeks and it's the smallest directory I've ever seen. I originally thought it was one of those endless vacation magazines- I wonder if anyone else thought so and threw out their copy.

I got mine this week, too, and I had to look twice at it to realize it was a directory.

Online resort directory seems to be easier to use. I think I would rather have an extra Endless Vacation magazine to look at

I was just about to post about it, Could it be that we got a half a book because it is a weeks Directory and not a points directory? Maybe they split it up so he weeks members won't even think about the points resorts.

I was about to post on this also. The new directory went from 400 pages to 200 pages. Almost all the foreign TS's were taken out and many of the other areas have much fewer listings. If you look at the maps most of the resorts are still listed there except for the areas that they took out, but, only the ones in bold have page numbers and are in the book the others are listed in lighter type and you have to go to the WEB site to find them.
I called RCI and asked about what creteria they used to decide which resorts they left in the book and their response to me was that the ones they left in are the ones with greater availaibility and the others have less availability.
I asked that if that was true why are there still "Limited Availability" sections in each area and the response was that they didn't really know but would pass my concerns on up to management.
I guess the availability issue does make some sense since availability at many resorts for the average trader has become more and more crappy!!! lol

I guess I shouldn't throw out my wish book from 2 years ago huh?

In a way it makes sense for them to only list where most people can expect a trade. Smaller list of resorts/expectations = larger list of happy customers.

Nothing in my mailbox as of yet. They musn't love me.

Are the Disneys in the new directory?

Our new one sits on top of the last six.

The reduction seems in line we being online.

I guess if anyone wanted a really big one (directory) they could go online and print a page for every resort.
