  • How Well Does Eagle Crest (2024) Exchange

    We own two floating weeks (both able to book Red) at Eagle Crest in Oregon. We presently don't belong to RCI, but if Eagle Crest trades well, would like to get on the 5 year membership special. We also own 3 weeks at Tahiti Village in Las Vegas which trades under II.

    Thank you;

    Jim and Sandy

    Depends how red you can get. My guess would be that weeks 26 to about 33 would trade extremely well, but that's just based on the norms. It's a summer destination. Hopefully someone will weigh in who owns there.

      Summer trades great on rci and II, but make sure you deposit 365 days out, if you miss a year by one day on rci, they gut the trade power to a blue week trade power!

        Thank you very much for the inputs. Did not know about 365 day RCI policy. Will keep that in mind!

          We own at EC - the medium of the 3 levels... So, winter mostly. We have red weeks for Christmas week and all of April. I have called EC to bank my April week as late as October, and they still have them (for the following year).

          Using that red week, it trades fine, I guess. We have gone to Disneyland in a 2bd(Dolphin's Cove) and Kauai in a 2bd (Banyon Harbor, but I forgot to reply to the first exchange we got, somewhere up north). Neither of these are top notch resorts, and I actually think EC is nicer, but we have gone to highly demanded locations.

            I own a week in May at the Grandview Las Vegas, so you are saying to get a Red Week exchange I would have to put in my 2010 week before May 2009. Which obviously means paying my 2010 fees by May 2009 also. Thats a bummer!!!:

              Just one of the many reasons I stopped depositing anything with RCI. They change the rules at will and mostly to the detriment of their members.

                We own at Eagle Crest. We have summer season and it trades very well with II. Used RCI several years ago and weren't satisfied because we weren't getting our trades. Switched to II, and within two weeks we got requested resorts. These were the same times/locations we had been searching for months with in RCI and had no luck. Personally, I don't like RCI.
