If you are looking with points you may still be able to get something for summer 2009. There are still things being deposited for this summer although not much "coastal" S Cal...points resorts are now loading for Nov/Dec 2009 as they load 10 months out and most good weeks deposits are long gone.
Take a look at summer 2010 using points searching weeks and there are some really nice resorts available. Even a few 2BDRMs! If I were you I'd be tempted to book next summer for this trip and take something else for summer 2009.

Problem is I dont Actually have my timeshare yet. Still going through the closing process and it could take a couple more months.
I thought you couldnt book further than 12 months in advance???
I also want to get something in Disneyland area for end nov beg dec (not holiday) hoping i can still get something then also.

Anaheim has been around too.
These are all on the RCI Exchange opportunity board. You will need a minimum of 30 posts, a Timeshare Review or a nominal contribution to the site to see them.
When you say you are still going thru closing you don't mean you bought from a developer very recently do you? If that is the case you should rescind if you can still do that. Read up on everything and then buy resale.Lawren

Good job.
Depending on where you live and how flexible you are we saw a lot of Last Minute ie <14 days availability in S Cal last summer. Of course things change all the time and that doesn't mean it will happen this summer again.Lawren
