I'm Ginger from Georgia and have been a member of RCI since 1988 and found this forum a couple of days ago.
Last week I had put a resort on hold due to needing time to make sure we could all be off work. Went online to confirm and RCI was down for maintance and supposed to be back online at 3am so I stay up. I really wanted the unit due to it's size. Come 3am I'm getting error messages from RCI and still can't access. Stayed up until 6am. Still the same so off to bed. Slept a couple of hours and back on the computer only to find that RCI had released the unit so I call. First get a VG who was having a difficult time understanding english. I kept having to repeat myself. I ask for a supervisior. Get no help at all. Not even an apology. They kept insisting that I start an ongoing search which I refused and the supposed to be supervisor was very rude at this point. He asked, in a snotty tone, why I didn't call in during the day to confirm and that I wasn't going to find a unit was with an ongoing search. I asked him if his supervisor wanted him conducting personal business while at work and again refused the search. That shut him up. I remained as pleasant as I possibly could through the entire ordeal.
I continued checking availibility, for my self, several times a day, and was able today, to trade a studio for 4 for a 3 bedroom for 10.LOL Not a fancy resort. A bit older but meets our needs. I'm doing a happy dance.
