I haven't paid a lot of attention to it or said much about it, but RCI scoring DVC really is quite an accomplishment.
First, after all these years looking in, RCI members can stay on property.
Second, arch nemesis/timeshare sleaze Mr. S doesn't have the buy Wastegate to get unlimited Disney Getaways lie to make bajillions off of any more. That is a score left unsettled for almost 20 years.
Third, just as tail-wagging-the-dog Orange Lake/Holiday Inn Vacation Club (OL HIV
) ramped up their saber-rattling, posturing about going it alone with their pathetic resort family, the only way OL HIV owners will ever stay at Disney is through RCI. Now OL HIV owners, too, can actually stay on property, rather than knowing that Disney is nearby through olfactory senses. But only through RCI, after thousands spent millions on OL HIV conversions.
So, bitch and moan and complain and postulate . . . but in the world of timesharing it is quite an accomplishment.
