Select Resort Name Travel Window ... Available Units ... Status ...
Fairways of the Mountains at Lake Lure (#5587) Apr 2009 to Apr 2012 [102,489] Available

I have not exchanged anything thru RCI since last June.......just deposited this week to see what it will see in RCI - so is this number a good or bad number?
What do GREAT traders see - what do middle of the road traders see?

How the HECK do you search now???
YIKES what the heck happened to the RCI web site

Pat, my white Smugglers float week (ie, mud season) sees about that number.
Haven't had a good red to deposit yet, so have nothing else to compare it to.

Top traders will see around 170,000. Sorry but it looks like your week will not pull the better units.

Possible but highly unlikely as most resorts only allow you to book two years out. So while your deposit could theoretically see that far, there's nothing there to see.

102K would be lower middle. 120K would be mid-level. I have some really late deposits that see what yours does. I also have some pre-banked ones that only see 75K - 85K which would be really poor. You've already heard about the tigers.

Similarly, my white Oak Timbers UDI at CMV sees around the same number (a little over 100k). I have not deposited a red week to test; it would be interesting to know what a red summer week there, deposited well in advance, pulls, but I think we're all trying to rent the reds :-)

                  Pat,

                  Agree with all the above.
My weak blue trader (Nantucket winter) sees ~102,000 units while the strong red (Allen House late spring) sees ~ 167,000.

I can usually see Lake Lure with anything, sorry to say.

                        Steve,

In my experience WI Dells summer is a very nice trader with RCI.

That's good. I haven't put one in yet, but I have put a Christmas (red) Dells week into II (understanding that that's really a pink week), and a week 26 (ends on 4 July) CMV (cottage, not timbers) week into II.

Surprisingly to me, I didn't get an AC for the summer week, and right now, it trades exactly the same as a white (May) week I deposited a year earlier. I was expecting the week 26 to be able to pull more inventory.

Remember that II is more concerned about resort quality than RCI, but less concerned about season, relatively speaking.

Yup. I was experimenting to see what difference there was, and it seems I shouldn't bother putting really good weeks into II, as my resort limits the trades I can get. Similarly, II doesn't distinguish between CMV and Timbers @ CMV, so there's no point in ever giving II a Timbers week of any color. I'm still refining my use of weeks between II deposits, RCI deposits, renting, and smaller exchanges.
