Are we talking a conspiracy of the PRIME weeks owners not to deposit, but use or rent?

Since we are talking S. cali resorts, curious if you can see any 2 bdrms summer 2010. The only one im showing with RCI Points is end of May S. Cali beach club. Wondering if things will get better so i should hold out for June, or get worse, take this unit. Earlier posted was some that i couldnt see with my account, didnt know why.

There were tons of the GPR resorts bulkbanked a while back but they are all gone now until the last week August.
If you are looking with Points at Weeks you would not have been able to see it in Weeks if the resort is a Points based resort.Lawren

A concern I have/have had about the Class Action case is that the end result would legitimize renting stuff from the Exchange Pool. I glanced through the settlement and that is what it appeared to do . . . to have stuff available for exchange for a timeframe, and then that was it, anything was/is OK.
The idea behind the suit was that rentals should not be allowed at all, but I believe the settlement approves of them, provides for and approves of a system to raid the exchange pool.

When you look at the first-page big numbers systemwide, things are scarce. There's only 1292 for all of the USA for July:
Alaska [2]
Carolinas and the Southeast [78]
Florida [429]
Gulf States [150]
Mid-Atlantic [25]
Mid-South [148]
Midwest & Plains [16]
New England [77]
Pacific Coast [107]
Rocky Mountains [251]RCI Member Since 24-Aug-1989/150-plus Exchanges***THE TIMESHARE GRIM REAPER~~~Exchanging/Searching/SW Florida/MO/AR/IA/Consumer Advocacy/Estate Planning/Sports/Boating/Fishing/Golf/Lake-living/Retirement****Sometimes ya just gotta be a dick

This is beyond supply/demand factors.
Perhaps I picked a bad area to use as my example. We all know SCal summer coastal is tough this close in to begin with (as is Cape Cod and Newport), but I had been feeling something wrong way before I got to the left coast in my searches this morning. The "Huh, something isn't right." started in the Caribbean/ Florida searches and just got worse as I worked up the coast and across the USofA.
At any rate, we have the numbers for today and can go back to them for reference during the week to see if the situation improves any.
FWIW I still don't use that lefthand side breakdown column very much but I think I may start giving it a glance.

The big first number for me declined several thousand the past few days, say 8 or 9000.
A similar decline in my lesser trader.RCI Member Since 24-Aug-1989/150-plus Exchanges***THE TIMESHARE GRIM REAPER~~~Exchanging/Searching/SW Florida/MO/AR/IA/Consumer Advocacy/Estate Planning/Sports/Boating/Fishing/Golf/Lake-living/Retirement****Sometimes ya just gotta be a dick

IMHO one of two things is happening. Perhaps with the expectation that the sellout, er, settlement, may go through, they are getting cocky with their rental pool, putting all they can in it for this two years in which they will be restricted; before that restriction becomes effective. Alternatively, the notices of this "settlement" may have woken owners of prime weeks up to what RCI is doing and deposits are down. Of course, it may be a combination of the two.

Numbers are back up to 167.5k. This morning there were a couple of nice LM SCal Coastals for May check-ins which is what wasn't there yesterday.
Pretty decent availability in other places. I toured Europe and Middle East this morning and found some very nice exchanges at a time most people would like and would be able to go.
Glitchy indeed.Lawren

My lesser trader recovered much more than my better trader!!!
Regardless, the specific numbers that are meaningful to me never seem to change.RCI Member Since 24-Aug-1989/150-plus Exchanges***THE TIMESHARE GRIM REAPER~~~Exchanging/Searching/SW Florida/MO/AR/IA/Consumer Advocacy/Estate Planning/Sports/Boating/Fishing/Golf/Lake-living/Retirement****Sometimes ya just gotta be a dick

The main issue exchange companies are experiencing at this time is... Everybody is going back to their timeshare! Think about it, you own a prime week in Florida west this year, You haven't been there in a while and you are interested to know where all your annual fees are going, Times are hard check the news, Are you going to exchange?
