Tiger trader deposited 2 months out!

I just discovered another tiger trader!! I was quite surprised. I thought it would do well in general because of the season and location (summer SC area) but given the check-in is two months away, I wasn't sure what to expect for trade power. I was pleasantly surprised to see it pulling 166K+ this morning. Considering what I pay for MFs, it's definitely good value!

I am waiting for a summer Cape Cod to show up in my RCI account, also hoping to see high numbers, will be around 3 months out.

So how do you get 166K points from a unit? Do the points they assign you fluctuate? Confused here? What am I missing? Sorry if these questions seem elementary.

It's not points the number is referring to; it's the number of available units my deposit is able to "see". We're talking trade power here. And yes, trade power does fluctuate depending on a lot of factors.

Wow you can trade for 166,000 options? That seems like a ton of choices. Is that for worldwide options? I've never really done a worldwide search to see what mine can get. I'll have to try it next year. I've already used up all my trading weeks for this year unless I deposit my Labor day beach week which I'm not sure I want to do yet. Do you think it would give me much trading power? It's a 2 bedroom 1 bath at Enchanted Isle in Hollywood beach in week 36. I don't want to waste my week. They also offered me 38,000 points for my week which might make sense since my maintenance is only $450 and I paid .99 cents for the week on ebay. Any opinions?

166k+ you would think so but in real time for people like me it comes down to maybe about 30 resorts on a good day that I would exchange for. and yes that is worldwide for the search span. In this case about 26 months. We can only get what is there to be got.

Prime hurricane week in Florida. Go for the points.

Chris, I haven't had a deposit in RCI for a while....and I just did one - the whole system has changed - as soon as you log inand go to the exchange page - u click next to your deposit and it tells you EVERY your unit would seee - u don't choose it - it just happens!
So once u get a deposit in there - u will see what we are talking about (I didn't get it either until I saw mine)

I guess since I'm pretty bad about depositing my week because I try to use my weeks unless I can't that might be why I don't see anything, although I did recently get two nice trades in Cape Cod for first week of June which is probably low season but I'm happy for my weeks but I had to call on the phone, couldn't figure it out online too well.

Same thing again. I had another week, checking in a week earlier than the other one I deposited and just deposited. I wasn't going to but considering how well the previous one went, I might as well roll the dice again. So, 7 weeks to check-in, still a tiger. Had the guide pull Manhattan Club and Disney. The guide was sure surprised and said I'd make others jealous!

Sometimes RCI just confuses you. I guess this makes up for the known tiger summer socal that I deposited a couple years ago, 18 months out only to have it be a dog
