RCI and upcoming Mexico exchanges

We had an exchange to Grand Mayan Nuevo Vallarta on 5/30. We cancelled it today, no big deal, we had paid the extra $49 bucks so we got our fee and our points back. While on the phone, the RCI guide indicated that they were refunding fees and reinstating points for anyone who has booked Mexico if they call within two weeks of their check-in as long as there is a travel advisory for their destination in affect. You can't call before two weeks before check-in, though.

US Air is allowing no fee flight changes so we are heading to Lawai Beach resort instead.
