My mediocre trader was suddenly seeing 155,000 units (at least 35,000 more than before), and I don't know about my tiger because it kept timing out.

I wasn't able to get search results, but the total resorts available is 22000 less than before the maintenance.

I haven't been able to get an explanation, but what does the All Deposits choice mean? It is higher than the highest single deposit.

Is there now a way to use two deposits to get one exchange, or have they added the deposit plus $$$ feature they have teased us with before?

My guess is that it is the union of what all of your individual deposits can see. I can imgaine the total being higher than any individual deposit if you have two deposits: one with higher trade power but higher VEP, and the other lower in both. The one with lower VEP sees "bad" resorts that the one with higher VEP won't, but the one with higher trade power sees "better" weeks that the one with lower trade power doesn't.

I agree, and came to the same conclusion after I asked, that the total would be higher when you add those not seen by one that are seen by another.

Am I the only one seeing less availability than before the maintenance . . . and does anyone else think 22000 less is significant . . . and does anyone else think trading power might have been recalculated as part of this maintenance?

I'm also seeing less---across several different "former tigers" that may or may not still be. But, only by about 10-12K less, and it's fairly consistent across all of them. So, either they all got lowered at the same time, or weeks were taking out somehow without a corresponding number going back in.

I *am* seeing a consistent difference between two weeks at the same resort---the one that is seeng slightly fewer is both a slightly less-demanded week of the year, *and* was deposited at 8 months (rather than just over 12). So, I think it was dinged over the weekend, but I don't know what for. And, later, it looked like the difference went away.

So, yes, I think trade power might have been "adjusted". But, I think it's also too early to tell for sure because I can never quite get the same answer twice out of the system.

Yes, deposited the same day, same week etc. Just different unit numbers.

This is ludicrous. I can log in and actually got to Hawaii. Saw 3 units at HHV for Oct 2009 on exchange and boom.

RCI has fallen and can't get back up.

I can search but when I click on any resort for date availability I get this:

Sorry your transaction cannot be completed at this time. Please sign out of RCI.com and back in to resolve issues. If you continue to experience problems, contact RCI Web Support at 1-800-338-7777 and select option 1. (Error #0112358)

I guess it is fortunate being across the pond. My 9AM is your 2AM, and the system seems to work okay then. In the early afternoon my time, it starts to degrade. I have gotten two great rentals.

I get the same thing as Lawren--I can get pretty far into a search, but when I go anywhere near hitting the button to reserve, I get the red screen that says they can't complete the transaction at this time.

My stronger trader has a farther-out trading period and is now seeing 153,000 units, down from about 163,000 before all this.

My mediocre trader is seeing 155,000 units, way up from what it used to see.

I just thought of a reason I would suddenly be seeing more...are they including all the RENTALS in that number, not just the exchanges like it used to count? Has everybody already considered this appalling possibility?

                          Steve,

I was actually up around 3AM and considered logging on to see what could be seen. In the past I have been accused of not having a life as well as a disturbed sleep cycle so I showed a bit of will power instead.

You can be sure if I'm up again tonight that I will be poking around and IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT FOR TEASING!

On a seperate note. Did you ever convert your NA account to a european one? Curious as I know for a fact that there is a difference in what can be seen between them.

                            Hawaii got tweaked

Hawaii availability is down 300 to 400 units today. Yesterday I was seeing over 500 total units, today, 175.

I can understand this and I think that was true. For me it was that All deposits was about 7K more than my highest deposit and I believe that the above post explains a plausible reason for this.... but tonight, my total for All Deposits is about 40K less than my best trader. This seems a bit harder to figure out!!! Oh well, it is all being done to make life better for us!!!!!!

All deposits is being computed incorrectly---it matches whatever individual deposit is selected (and tonight when I log in, one of my individual deposits is selected, rather than all.) If you select All deposits, it will be correct (at least, that's what I'm seeing.)
