So what is the new trading power standard?

I have a number of tigers deposited with RCI. I would say they all dropped 10K units since the latest overhaul. From what I have read in the various posts/boards, there seems be a consistent theme on that front. My tigers are now in the 155K - 156K range - compared to the 165K+ range previously.

What remains a question is whether trade power actually dropped or units got removed from the system. From the limited time I've actually been able to log in and do actually searching, my tigers are seeing the difficult exchanges (ie. Manhattan Club, Disney's, summer socal/east coast/Banff/Yellowstone). So I would conclude that units have been removed from the system. Where 10K+ units would go, I don't know.

What has been somewhat surprising is the mid-levels and dog-traders side of things. I had two mid-levels that were previously seeing ~100K and ~122K units. Under the new format, they are seeing ~144K and ~154K-155K. In fact, the upper mid-level one has virtually become a tiger, seeing Disney's, MC, etc. My dog was previously seeing ~80K units and now sees ~102K units. So the answer to the question about RCI playing with trading power is a definite yes.

I've also heard that trade power has dropped more dramatically for other people and hasn't been consistent. I know it's a bit early what what do others think.

I'm not sure if things have improved or gotten worse. In RCI's defense, I like a couple of the things they are trying to do, if only they would work in a timely manner. I don't think they totally got the kinks out of last major upgrade and now are trying another one. OOPs, I see I just couldn't get in. I got a great trade on hold until tomorrow night and hope I can confirm online instead of calling a VC or guide or whatever they are now called.

I have a South Africa week that now pulls more weeks than my tiger trader. Every time RCI does an "upgrade" things are screwed up for a bit.

My Wyndham Blue Studio visible was seeing 80K prior to the change and is not seeing 155K. I'm trying to get a great exchange somewhere, but the system keeps timing out on me.

Hopefully, things will be running better tomorrow and I still have my 155K - but I doubt it.

I too have seen a ~10k drop in availability. I'd need to log into a few other accounts to get a better feel for the changes in trade power. RCI seems to run better when I put in a 3 month window so that's what I've been doing this morning.

As previously stated whenever they do a major overhaul trade power is skewed for about a week so it's hard to say if this is the new world or not.

I have a week I keep meaning to deposit which is usually a tiger. If it's not I'm taking it right back and putting it elsewhere.

Lawren, How do you do a deposit and then take it back. I thought once you give RCI your week then you can't take it back and give it to say II or Dae?

If you act fast enough and they haven't already given the week as an exchange you can get them returned. I have never had any cause to do that but there are people that have.

Lawren, how do you get a few accounts with RCI? I only have my weeks and my points account. Do they have other types of accounts? I hate having to log into the weeks and then the points to see my availability. I don't know why they can't combine them both into one account?
