    Let's play "what's missing".

Here is what the monthly breakdown is for SGC this morning:

    September 2009 [4]
    October 2009 [1]
    December 2009 [1]
    April 2010 [4]
    May 2010 [14]
    June 2010 [13]
    July 2010 [17]
    August 2010 [48]
    September 2010 [44]
    October 2010 [35]
    November 2010 [15]
    December 2010 [17]
    April 2011 [5]
    May 2011 [10]
    June 2011 [7]
    July 2011 [12]
    August 2011 [5]
We already know what's missing . . . the top 20 or so resorts. Here is the list of the top resorts in SW FL m/l, with my acknowledgement that some are not RCI:

Plantation House at South Seas Resort R, 5 Star
South Seas Club @ South Seas G, 5 Star
    Tortuga Beach Club 9.14 G, 5 Star
    Hyatt Coconut Plantation 5 Star
Plantation Bay Villas at South Seas Resort 5 Star
Harbourview Villas at South Seas Resort 5 Star
Sanibel Beach Club II 8.85 G
    Charter Club of Marco G
Vanderbilt Beach and Harbour Club R
    Sanibel Cottages G, 5 Star
    Cottages at South Seas Plantation
    Eagles Nest G, 5 Star
    Sanibel Beach Club I G
Plantation Beach Club @ South Seas R, 5 Star
Casa Ybel Beach and Racquet Club G, 5 Star
Seawatch on the Beach G, 5 Star
Lighthouse Resort and Club G, 5 Star
    Hurricane House 5 Star
    Club Regency 8.14 G
    Shell Island Beach Club G
    Surf Club R, 5 Star
Lovers Key Beach Club & Resort

Granted, you will see a few, maybe, but not the fairly plentiful numbers as before the disenhancement, especially for hurricane season.

What is the range of use dates for that deposit?

That might or might not explain it. Are you steadily gaining more possible use time (more months) into the future, in which case this number should keep going up? Or steadily losing possible use months, in which case the number should go down? Not saying that explains it all, but maybe in part.

This is the number I get when I first open the exchange window. It's a 2010 week deposited twelve months ahead. The number wasn't great going in, then steadily dropped until today, when it went up a thousand.

Trying to make a liar out of me, today (and probably yesterday, too) there is a radical fluctuation:

                  (252 available units)

but, when you look at it, it is something new since the disenhancement . . . it is the stuff that has been somewhere else and is now showing up in the Spacebank at the last minute:

                  September 2009 [7]
                  October 2009 [5]

Using the highest of the figures in the last week (238), that explains 12 of the 14 increase, so if you take them away, the increase was really only 2.

Sure wish one of you really sharp people would find where they're going instead of the Spacebank.

                    • Hilton Head comparison

And here's my slightly-declawed ex-tiger, for the only months which overlap with Lawren's above due to my trade window:

                      Location
                      USA
                      -- Carolinas and the Southeast

                      November 2010 [51]
                      December 2010 [37]
                      January 2011 [18]
                      February 2011 [12]
                      March 2011 [13]
                      April 2011 [6]
                      May 2011 [1]
                      June 2011 [1]
                      September 2011 [1]

(Btw this is a silver-crown rated resort, which had fewer overall numbers than a now-confirmed similar deposit in location and timeframe, except that one was unrated - hopefully fewer only because it screened out less-desirable stuff. Both were post disenhancement deposits.)

I like when we can compare specific months, rather than overall numbers.

Edited to add: my deposit would see July & August for 2010, and July and Aug for 2011. Interesting that there is nada for those 2 months in either year. They aren't putting 2011 stuff into Extra Vacations yet, I don't think. Are they sitting on them til they can rent them out?

Yes I think the monthly comparisons work better unless we are talking about resort specific things such as the current TMC debacle.

Exactly where is May thru September of 2010/2011???

I find it very interesting that you show 25 units available in Oct09 and I had nothing available. Now I have to go log on and check if that is changed.

Lawren, it was October of 2010, not '09, that I showed 25, and you showed 24 - almost identical, could have been just the different hours of our searches.

                            duh!

I did log back in and show NOTHING for Oct09 though which is very suspicious. All those resorts and not a single unit available...

The way things are displayed now on RCI.com it just blatantly spotlights what ISN'T there. The gaping holes in primetime usage. They can't possibly expect us to believe that no one and no resort is depositing those timeframes.

                            • There are as many Extra Vacations as there are exchanges in SW FL. Most are to regular TS resorts.

Anyone buying that? . . . Actually believing they are not deposits to the exchange pool?

That seems to be par for the course most places. RCI now stands for ''Rents Condos Instead''
