  • Letter from RCI NA President

Did anyone get an email today from RCI's North American President about RCI.com challenges? I can't cut and paste because of way the email was formatted. Basically, it says that the May 30 implementation didn't quite go as planned and that they've been working day and night to get it fixed and can now say that it is running properly so to try it out.

Nothing yet, I hope that means it's still broke for me.

Yes I received the email. I can't understand how he seems to believe that everything is running smoothly when so many are still complaining.

It would be laughable if it weren't so pitiful.

I got it today. Tried to figure out a way to copy and paste, with no luck.

Highlight with right click if possible, did you try control c to copy and control v to paste? Have nothing to lose.

Here is the text (Captured with OneNote):

"I wanted to personally send you a note regarding our May 30th enhancements to RCI.com. While we were very excited about these new changes. we know that many of you experienced unforeseen online issues immediately following the enhancements. In the days that followed, members who visited our Web site encountered difficulty. Despite our best efforts and testing of these enhancements, they did not initially perform up to our expectations of what you’ve come to expect from RCI.

Since then, we have been working night and day to ensure that RCI.com is working at the level you have come to expect I am pleased to report to you that our newly enhanced features are now working well, and I encourage you to log on and give them a try. You will also find helpful tips on how to use the enhancements on RCI TV (under the New Releases tab).

Thanks for your patience as we have worked to get the bugs out. We continue to work to provide you with the best experience with RCI. both on the Web and when you call. ft’s what you deserve and what we want to deliver! Log on and give it a try."

I do know how to highlight, but the post in the E-Mail does not allow a highlight. I think they don't want us to be able to copy and paste.

Actually this is not true, they totally lived up to my expectations!

Ah, but he said they hadn't lived up to their expectations. Clearly someone, somewhere, still had satisfactory trading power, and he will not rest until that oversight has been corrected!

The sad thing is that we know it's not fixed but if they think it is, and are not prepared to invest any more time in "fixing" it, then we're hooped and better learn to live with it and find how to use it to fit us.

Exactly and I think we are starting to see how...it is a very time consuming effort but there is a crack in the system. I won't say more on the open boards as I probably have said too much already and we know they watch.

I need a solid 4 hours to poke at a theory that someone else brought up but I have found to hold water.
