There may be others who have been RCI subscribers longer or may have contributed more, but DW & I have been members for 20 years. We own 6 weeks and have for much of that time. We have deposited 110 to RCI.

In addition, I doubt that anyone has done more to research, share, promote and defend RCI, both virtually and in real life, when it was not popular to do so, than I have for the last 10 years.

So, if now we can no longer get the exchanges we have over the years, and all I get to simple questions is disrespect and answers I know to be pure BS, then who is getting the good stuff, and the respect?

And why?

Rental programs, employee perks ?

Exchanger fee - $189

Rent out prime week at $900, and charge 30% of commision - $270.

To be fair, renting may not have take, while exchanger almost guarantee, with today's market, you may have 70% chance of people take these prime week. So it gives you about $189 income. I will say about equal.

Also, more and more systems (developers) will try to control the week goes into the exchange pool, So they can get it to their best advantage, which does not mean exchanger's best or RCI's best interesting.

For example, on the OBX, only one developer is still active, and the better inventory from sold out resorts is being funneled into RCI's rental programs.

You told me there is less than 10% of Prime week owner will actually make deposit for exchange. And probably more than 50% of blue and white week owners make deposit for exchange. And if there is such thing as equal trade, serve renter and serve exchanger can and will be compared.

One difference is of course RCI now publically rent out units.

The other difference is used to be there is a few developers willing to push their inventories to RCI so they can get exchanger for saling pitch, now, they find a better use of those week, and not put them in RCI exchange pool.

No, I did not blame developers, they, like owner, just make sure they find the best use of their week, Of course, some developers will control all the owners week as they actually own these weeks, that is another issue.

I have been much happier with SFX on exchanging however I have purchased at least 3 last call's and 1 Extra Vacation through RCI and have gotten around trading restrictions
Both geographical and 1 in 4 year rules

I dont like everything they do, but I am always trying to work the system and as long as the benefit is there I will continue until I think it is not working for me.

One time I did it through a guide and was told
"Cash Transactions the same rules dont apply."
The rest of the time I have done them online and just take the confirmation to the resort.
