  • ARRRRGGG RCI Web site again!!!!!

    Was able to get in and do a bit of searching this AM, although very slow, but, this afternoon can't even finish a search.
    I get the search started but when I either narrow it down in location or try to just look at an individual property I get the following message:
    "Due to recent activity online, the unit you selected is no longer available. Please refine your search and try again.

    For internal use only: Error from Extra Vacations
    Exception while populating GuidedNavigation search request "
    States "error from extra vacations" but I am doing a search asking for "Exchanges Only".....
    Happened 12 times in a row this PM, then I gave up.
    Wrote a nasty gram to RCI but we all know how much good that will do!!!!!

    I haven't even been able to get in for 6 days. I keep getting an internal error message. I keep reporting it, but haven't gone as far as calling yet.

      The site is a joke. So slow that I just give up. Maybe they should remove the avis, hertz adds along with the cruise links that are total rip offs. I sometimes get acceptable exchanges when i get access, but lately it's a waste of time even trying to get access.

      RCI seems, once again to not care about us members. They "lost" the lawsuit and still treat us members as second class. It's all about greed.

        Almost looks like another mini "enhancement"... I noticed another 5000 units has dropped off my deposit.

          I'm going to see what happens after this weekend's "routine maintenance". It seems like I only started having problems after they did it last weekend.

            yesterday was very slow, even in the morning. today is better. who knows what tomorrow will bring?

              I still can't get it. Same stupid internal error message and same stupid canned response from RCI.

              It seems to have started after they did their maintenance last Saturday night. I'm hoping that this week's routine maintenance will "fix" it. If not, I will be on the phone with them tomorrow.

              Hmmmm, how did we exist doing trades with RCI back in the day before they had a website?

                Quick update. I finally got a helpful email from RCI. Said they don't recognize "special" characters in the login name, so mine was changed and to try today. Well, that took care of the problem. I've been using the same login for years, so I'm thinking they must have made a recent change. Of course when I tried to search for availability the site went wonky.

                  Alan (AwayWeGo) on TUG had the exact same issue and had to call in to 1) find out the problem and 2) to get his new in compliance login name.

                  You'd have thought they'd have emailed people when they changed their logn names!

                  That said, my stuff didn't change and I still can't complete an exchange online. I call tomorrow to get a VG to place it on hold so I can confirm it online for the lower fee. What a hassle.

                    It is probably due to that stupid game The same thing happened last time they had one. However I just booked another vacation but I had to login 3 times to do it

                      Another maintenance fiasco??

                      I cannot search today. It just spins and spins. They did maintenance last night to change the cancellation policy and it looks like they broke the search system.

                      Is anyone else having this problem??
