We're sending them directly to the Clerk of Court. We're only cc'ing the attorneys.

I don't have a lot of optimism that this'll make a difference, but a flood of objections can't hurt.

      JLB,

Sending in an Objection is a straight forward and rather easy. But, it must be done correctly.

You have on several occasions said that you sent your objection by E-Mail.

Each time you said that, I wondered about what your meant.

For your objection to be accepted as a valid objection it must be signed and the original signed document mailed with a postmark no later than November 20, 2009 to THE CLERK OF COURT.

Filing an electronic claim is NOT an Objection and sending an Objection by E-Mail to the Plaintiff's Attorneys will not be considered filing with the Court.

You do not have to file an electronic claim or mail in a claim form; but if you do, it must be done by November 20th. If you have already filed a claim you still can send the Court a signed Objection Letter.

      YES YOU CAN DO BOTH!

To correctly file your objection a copy of your objection letter must be sent to the Attorney for the Defense and a copy must be sent to the Attorney for the Plaintiff.

ALL copies should have the name of at least one of the RCI Members on the Account. It should have the complete address of the RCI Member, that member's phone number and both the RCI Account Number and the name and RCI Identification Number for one of the RCI Resorts where the member owns a week of timeshare.

If all you did was E-Mail the Plaintiff's Attorney; your objection quite likely would not be accepted as correctly filed with the Court.

I know you want your objection to be read and considered by the Court; so please make sure you sent it in correctly.

For straight forward Informational Instruction go here:

If for some reason that doesn't help consider going here and scrolling down to Frequently Asked Question # 6:

I sent my objections in the manner I thought proper because I did not opt for any of the options offered. Instead I opted for recognizing the Objectors as a new class for the purpose of seeking a more meaningful settlement.

I just emailed the first one by replying to the notice email, and since I got the reply, "So noted," I took that as a proper ation on my part.

I have received 3 replies to information I have sent, and they are from (a change made to prevent harvesting):

I'll go to my other computer, print the saved emails and mail them, also.

On further thought, knowing what I know from experience over the last 20 years, I'm not sure I wish to go on public record against RCI.

As in golf, the better option often is to lay up, as the potential reward does not justify the risk. Since I am not the A player, I will consider my action to be the safe shot and someone else can now go for it, which reminds me, this week was the Dirty Bird Scramble and my team took the turkeys home.

I got confused and I filled out the claim form online thinking I filled an objection letter. I did get it corrected.

I wounder how many other people filed a claim form thinking it was a form objecting the settlement.

JLB... if I had to guess, I'm thinking that anything they could write up about you in their file, or retaliate in any way over your public record, they've already done.

I get the jist of what you are saying, that there is likely not any one person who has been more of a burr under their saddle, for a longer time, but I am not persuaded that there is not more that could be done to retaliate, or that they would hesitate to do so.

Although I have surely aggravated some there, I also know that I have the respect of others there for the work I have done and the things I have brought to their attention. Also for the work I have done on behalf of others, like the comment I got awhile back, "Based on the string of your 59 emails . . . "

Even now, however, my deepest feeling is that those who try to help me/us are as much a victim of something beyond their scope as we are. When you work for a company you are almost forced to believe that you/the company are doing good, and, after all, you are obliging to the company for your livelihood. As employees, they are not free to be forthright.

Having said that, I am reminded of something someone emailed recently, "Those who believe there is some good in all people has not met all people."

On the other hand, what do you have to lose? This rental thing is what's hurting us, and as they are allowed to develop it further, things will only continue to deteriorate.

I'm with your wife on this one. "If that's the case, why do we even have the damn things. Just give em away or stop paying the maintenance fees."

The actions of a large number of people are merely the sum of the actions of individuals. The affect on the industry of what you are saying is mind-boggling, an RCI avalanche started by the snowball of doing something with excess inventory.

RCI found something doing that and their insatiable thirst has not been quenched since. Greed is ugly.

Because of things revealed to me today for the first time, I am in the process of doing something else.

After 20 years I am very disappointed that it has come to this. The 5/30 debacle, what has been revealed about it by all of us, and the way they have lied to me about it is the last straw.

Their bad behavior has finally trickled down to us, blocked my efforts to make them of any use to us.

They have made no attempt to explain what happened to all the good stuff that disappeared and have done all they can to make it impossible for us to obtain any of the better exchange deposits.

If I am going to put my neck on the chopping block, it might as well be for something with the chance of being more meaningful than the trinkets being offered.

                      I just did that.
