You're right. I hadn't really looked at that part but mine only shows exchanges from this past year and nothing earlier than that

We were over at our friends from OY's house tonight, not knowing there is a new RCI.com. He and I both logged on to check our accounts. We both got the same crap, the same low numbers as recent searches.

We talked about the last time we did that, before the website enhancement six months ago, how I showed 170,000 exchanges available then and his showed a few hundred more.

Today we were at 140,000. One of his was really low, like 60,000, and it is a GC with a fairly high fee. We looked at the place they went to with us last year, then looked at SW FL availability, and saw it was pathetic.

Anyway, neither of us noticed the new paint, just the rotten wood.

Under Deposit Your Week tab

I have weeks in the list that were deposited with RCI over two months ago and each week is listed twice.

Also, weeks that are available for deposit but not deposited are listed three times for each week.

Let's see how long it takes to fix this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm seeing the following fairly consistently:

* In Vacation Search, I can only see my first two deposits---clicking "show rest" doesn't expand the list, on either Safari or IE8.
* Showing available units for a particular resort, then returning to search results fails on Safari.
* Trying to select a particular interval to put on hold or confirm fails on Safari. On IE8, it does not show the full list of units I could use to confirm the exchange.

I am also seeing duplicates under deposit your week tab.

This is for both Safari on MacOS and IE 8 on WinXP.

I suppose I shouldn't be surprised at the degree of incompetence, but at least it is consistent.

I had that problem BEFORE this past weekend... started maybe just over a week ago.

I am not sure exactly what you mean with your last point (not showing full list of units could use to confirm an exchange) but I've had something along that line happening to me since that last big update when trade power got trashed.

After much trial and error, this is what I figure is happening. I can pull exchanges with lesser resorts than RCI "wants" me to use for that specific exchange. So the website simply refuses to let me do the exchange online. It will give me some "reason" for not allowing the exchange to happen - and the reason will vary per attempt. Since I have no intention of using a "better" unit to get an exchange than I have to, I simply call RCI and have a VG put the unit on hold, using the lesser week as it does pull the desired unit, and then confirm it online later for the $164 fee.

I was too busy this weekend to go on RCI. I can hardly wait to visit it in a few minutes and see what I see! Always an adventure.

RCI IT is not talented enough to implement the nefarious scheme you suggest. As Napolean put it best: Never ascribe to malice that which can be explained by incompetence.

I agree. But whether or not RCI is doing it "on purpose" or not, it does seem to be the end result. I can reserve online with a better week; can't with the lesser week even though it pulls the exact unit as well. Certainly is a mistake or glitch or whatever that errors to their benefit. Surprise, surprise.

Might that not be the answer? Perhaps (and I know I'm giving the RCI programmers a lot of credit here :-) because the third week is tied to an ongoing search, you can't exchange it without first canceling the search.

There appears to be a new catagory of properties in RCI which I stumbled on today.

These are individual homes or apartments ala DAE offerings....took forever to find the resort directory which is now located in "Member Perks" for some odd reason. I don't have time to track them all down . The ones I've personally looked at are in the UK.
