I would suggest that a good way to build DAE's business is to form a closer working relationship with the HOA's of sold out resorts. These resorts are soon to have lots of RCI members who are distressed at RCI's new ''Points Lite'' imposed on its Weeks system. They will need an alternative, and DAE can provide one. Many are not yet aware of what is likely to come at them from owner dissatisfaction in this change at RCI, so initially I would suggest another avenue to cozy up to them.
Most HOA's at sold out resorts accumlate weeks from either foreclosures or deedbacks that they want to get back in the hands of paying owners, and usually offer these cheap to do so. I would suggest that DAE create an HOA resale page on its website for members looking to pick up another week. Many owners do not even know such bargains are out there or where to find them, which would help them as well as giving the HOA's a new outlet to resell these weeks. I would suggest that DAE merely offer a page for them to advertise these weeks, with any interested parties contacting the resort directly to make any purchases.
In return, DAE could ask the resort for a business card sized ad in each of the resort's newsletters sent out to its members. It might also ask for a deposit of one HOA owned week into the DAE exchange system.
This could be a win/win for everyone.
