  • MEMBERS LOUNGE enhancements

    Mark,

The members lounge helps a lot. I am wondering if it will have the following features in future:

    1. List my on-going search requests
    2. Let me select which credit to use when booking
I think it defaults to use the oldest credit. But sometimes
I cannot book my holiday week in time sequence.
I may book 2008 holiday first, and 2007 holiday later depending what
    becomes available in DAE.
For now, can I email DAE to switch which credit I like to
use for the week I already booked online?
    3. Monthly summary of resorts have been deposited and been
exchanged. So we can guess our chance of getting a request
    to be matched

    Thanks!

Hello rentaweek, I think the enhancements you are suggesting are great, however not scheduled in the near future. The next enhancement which is scheduled to be implemented in September is the ability for you to hold weeks in the system for 24 hours...I can't wait for that one...

As for the sequence of credits to be used, the system picks the oldest credit automatically so there's no need for you to ring us.

As for having the ability to view your ongoing requests, I believe this will come in the not too distant future.

    Marc

      Hi Mark,

I have 2 ongoing search requests:

      1. 2007 Christmas week
      2. 2008 Summer

Say The 2008 summer becomes available online, and I need to book it right away. What if I do not want the system to pick my oldest credit because I would want to use the oldest credit for booking the 2007 Christmas week later.
Since you indicated the CPO protection still uses the original expiration date, I think it is better to use my credits in confimed week check-in date sequence.

Can I ask DAE to switch the credits when I book the other week later?
I think RCI does allow us to switch the credits.

      Thanks!
      Martin

Hello Martin, Please note that if you have entered a request in our system, the week you've requested will not appear on our website as available. Before any of the deposited weeks appear on our website as available, we run a matching report which tells us who has requested what. We then contact you to offer you the week. I'm still not clear on you wanting to use a particular credit as opposed to the oldest. The system looks at the expiry date of your credits not for what year you're booking your holiday.
Maybe you would like to give me a ring at the office and I can explain this better or you can clarify what you mean.
        Let me know...marc
