Possible cancellation of confirmed Manhattan Club Exchange

Hello

We have an confirmed exchange through your company to the Manhattan Club on March 15, 2008.

I know this is an extremely great exchange.

There is a Very Good Chance we will not be able to go due to an upcoming family event that was just scheduled for that same period.

What is your cancellation Policy?

Do you have any objections to us renting it or perhaps swaping with someone else?

If allowed, is there a cost for a guest certificate?

WoW, I am so impressed with HTSE.

I just received a phone call from Vicki from HTSE.

I was told I could rent and or swap the unit with someone else without getting into trouble.

I was also told there would not be a charge to put someone else's name on the confirmation.

Almost sounds to good to be true.

To be honest, I am just wanting something close to my maintenance fee and exchange fee.

It's a studio with a March 15, 2008 check in.

I would like it to go to a Tugger and we would be content to get about $500.00.

We would also consider a swap to Sanibel - Captiva or Marco Island in Florida for a August 29 / 30, 2008 check-in. (Those date's would have to be firm).

Are you aware that Manhattan Club charges a fee which I think is about $15.00 per day?

I obtained this exchange through Hawaiian Timeshare Exchange (HTSE) last May 2007.

As mentioned, I am only asking $500.00 which is about what my maintenance and exchange fee for this exchange. I wanted this to go to a timeshareforums person or tugger since they are more familiar with exchanges etc. and we try to share when we can. This week was obtained through a sightings post here on timeshareforums. I noticed you are fairly new.

Normally an exchange company does not allow a member to rent out an exchange, so I was surprised when Vicki from HTSE said it was ok. There was also a post on May 30, 2007 where Sonya from HTSE said rentals do occur and a member would not be punished for doing so.

I was told there would not be a fee for changing the name on the confirmation, it there is I would ask that you pay for this fee.

If you are interested, let me know you name and address and I will email HTSE and ask that they change the confirmation into your name. I will keep you as a "copy to" on all email's so you can see things progress.

Coony I will let you and Glitter works things out.

Have emailed HTSE (copy to you), and requested that they change confirmation into your name.

Glad you will be able to work out something with Glitter and both can enjoy Manhattan.

I was born in Brooklyn and left there in 1970 when I enlisted in the Navy. After 21 years in the military I moved to Florida. Wife and I first went to the Manhattan Club about 5 years ago and loved it.

We will also be there on March 28th.

Thanks Joe , I thing this works fine for Glitter and I, this is a perfect week for me as I work in the L.I NY school district and spring recess start that week, and weather should be just right for walking the street of NYC and central park, I was feeling your Pain of not making it to NYC,
but I feel better noting that you will be in new york later that month

Yesterday evening about 7:30 P.M., I sent HTSE an email asking that they change the confirmation into someone else's name.

I just received a response saying that the change has been made, advising that the paperwork would be sent to the new person and a copy to me.

And to make it even better, There was No Charge.
