Extend expiration date

If Platinum Interchange is not able to find a match for my search request, can the expiration date be extended for 6 months?

I heard Trading Places let us book the week 3 months past the expiration date without any extra fee.

6 month extension

Extend your Week Deposit. To withdraw an exchange against the deposit, the travel date of the exchange must be less than or equal to the expiration date of the deposit; however, if you are not able to travel by the expiration date, you may extend the deposit expiration date for an extension fee of $85.00. Note: Deposit expiration date may be extended in six month intervals only.

We can travel by the expiration date. However, Platinum Interchange has not found a match for our search request yet. If Platinum Interchange cannot match our search request, will it extend the expiration date for 3 months?
