I was just wondering if it is possible to give one of my exchange weeks to my adult daughter. I don't have immediate plans to do that, but was thinking that if I can't use up all 3 of my weeks, maybe she could use one?

Platinum's Policy on giving away exchanges?

I gave one to my wife's pastor and PI had no issue putting the reservation in his name. He really enjoyed the week as well.
When you make the reservation just ask the vacation counselor to put your guest's name on the confirmation.Rick

I find Platinum to be very consumer friendly. I gave a week to a few of my female friends to use since I could not use it. It was a previously confirmed exchange and PI was very gracious in supplying a confirmation with several names on it!
The more I use PI the more I appreciate their customer service.
If you want to "gift" a banked week to your daughter, I will bet that you can call PI and have her name attached to that week without any problems.

That is correct!
You can call us and let us know who is going to be calling us to book one of your exchanges or you can call us to book the exchange for a friend or family member and as long as you give us the guest name at the time of booking the exchange, there will be no extra charge.
If you confirm the exchange in your name and later call us to change the name, the Guest Certificate or Reservation name change fee is $35.00. This applies to Regular exchanges and Bonus exchanges.
Thank you!

A similar question. If I already have a room booked in my name and I cannot use it, I do understand that I can pay $35.00 to change the name and give it away. Would I be able to collect the $35. and/or the $129. exchange fee from the person who is going to use it.
I know that I can give away for free, but is it okay to recoup what I paid out? Or, would that be considered renting out my exchange?
Thanks.
