How to use Platinum Interchange (member input please)
Sandra, We are very happy to have you on-board here at TimeShareForums. With the quick replies and more than once weekly updates of your exchange inventory Platinum seems to be coming up on our radar. I would like to put a "sticky" at the top of this forum to assist members with frequently asked questions and answers that we may have.
I know there is no membership fee to join and an exchange fee is not collected until an exchange is made.
The exchange fees are $109/ domestic & $129/international.
We can either request first or deposit first.
A Guest Certificate costs $35.
Here are the questions that first come to mind for me and I hope that other members will chime in with things I have not thought of:
Platinum appears to work on a like for like platform both in unit size and season.
I see where there is an upgrade fee of $97. Is that one fee for just any size upgrade or is it $97 per size? ie I trade a studio for a 1BDRM I pay $97. I trade a studio for a 2BDRM I pay $97 or $194?
How does the upgrade fee work from a seasonal upgrade perspective?
Can I have a seasonal upgrade AND a unit size upgrade and is the upgrade fee doubled for that?
Who decides what the seasons are?
Do you accept all resorts/weeks/sizes in exchange or are there parameters in what you will accept? How do we find out if our resort will be accepted if that is te case?
