Sandra,
I have questions regarding what we call "Last Minute" inventory and how PI handles them and at what cost.
Trading Places has there Hot Deals & Bonus weeks
SFX has it's sell off list
II has accomodation certificates
even RCI devalues points required or trade power necessary.
Here is an example:
On your most current A...way List I found:
AQUAMARINE VILLAS 9/10/08 9/17/08 1BD OCEANSIDE CA
AQUAMARINE VILLAS 9/12/08 9/19/08 1BD OCEANSIDE CA
AQUAMARINE VILLAS 9/16/08 9/23/08 2BD OCEANSIDE CA
AQUAMARINE VILLAS 9/23/08 9/30/08 2BD OCEANSIDE CA
AQUAMARINE VILLAS 9/30/08 10/07/08 1BD OCEANSIDE CA
Definately last minute distress type stuff.
When I go to your Hot Rentals Aqua is not even listed as an option.
Moving on to Hot Nights I see this for nightly rates:
Aquamarine Villas Southern California Beach
Oceanside, CA
United States 9/10/2008 9/17/2008 1BD/4 $127.50 $160.00
9/12/2008 9/19/2008 1BD/4 $127.50 $160.00
9/12/2008 9/15/2008 1BD/4 $127.50 $160.00
9/14/2008 9/16/2008 2BD/6 $157.50 $190.00
9/16/2008 9/23/2008 2BD/6 $157.50 $190.00
9/20/2008 9/25/2008 1BD/4 $127.50 $160.00
9/22/2008 9/29/2008 1BD/4 $127.50 $160.00
9/29/2008 10/6/2008 1BD/4 $127.50 $160.00
9/29/2008 10/2/2008 1BD/4 $127.50 $160.00
9/30/2008 10/7/2008 1BD/4 $127.50 $160.00
That doesn't appear to be a bargain at all! $930/week is nearly double the maintenance fee for a one bedroom at that property.
I have noticed that Platinum is offering 2 for 1 bonus weeks and it appears that we could use a Bonus Week for the Aqua? With only an exchange fee ( and if warranted an applicable upgrade fee) payable? There seem to be many qualifications to use Bonus Weeks.
I still think I am missing something. These very last minute weeks should be available to your members for a nominal fee somewhere without giving up an exchange or Bonus certificate. Like DAE's $299 weeks.
