  • 3 Weeks For 1 Special Offer

    Hi Mark,

I received your "3 Weeks For 1 Special Offer". The price for the bonus week will be $399. Wasn't the bonus week $299 in 2006 when a week was deposited before Oct? I think the $399 bonus week is not very attractive offer. Wouldn't that make some owners not to deposit their prime weeks with sfx? Will sfx consider offering the $299 bonus week again?

    Thanks,
    Martin

Martin - thank you for your post. Lets examine the value proposition and price point of our offering.

Where else can you buy approximately $1,400 - $1,800 worth of quality accommodations that can be requested up to a year in a advance, that are not "left-over" weeks that cannot be booked more than 60-90 days out?

Now what part of that do you not find "attractive?". (need I say more?). But I will...

We have had an overwhelming response so far to this offering, and that is because Owners know and see the outstanding value.

$299 or even $399 for that matter is a grossly under-priced commodity in the quality vacation market. This is reinforced when you check the pricing and value proposition of other exchange companies. I see $500 - $1,000 for those weeks, and you can't request what you want, you have to take what's left over.

Let's keep things in perspective... Bonus Weeks are not an entitlement of your timeshare purchase. Your purchase decision was based on simply buying a week, and getting just a weeks worth of space for the purchase price and annual maintenance fee. Bonus Weeks are a privilege.

$399 is less than what you pay for a maintenance fee, and I will leave you with this thought.... What if we said, "Pay for 2 nights, and get 5 nights FREE !!".

Now that would put a huge "value smile" on my face, how about you?

I agree that $399 is too much for the bonus weeks offered by RCI and II but as Mark said the SFX bonus week are great value even at $399 because you can use them to plan a vacation months before you can the similar II or RCI bonus weeks.

        Mark,

Thank you for your Explanation. I was comparing to the DAE 2 (regular)weeks for 1 (The advanced search is allowed & the extra fee is only the exchange price), and Trading Places bonus week ($149, 45 days restriction). I will have to try and find out whether sfx bonus week is better than what other companies offer.

We are not very interested in visiting Mexico. Therefore, we probably will not use the Mexico bonus week. Will sfx consider offering 2 weeks for 1 and charge only $299 for the bonus week?

What resorts in Mexico can be used for the bonus weeks? Is it limited to the Mayan Palace resorts?

        Thanks!

Martin - For your comparision, I believe we are the only exchange company that specializes in Gold Crown and 5 star rated resorts and allows you to request what you want up to a year in advance rather than having to take what is "left-over" 90 days or less.

The $299 pricing is unrealistic and a thing of the past, just like the $2.75 gallon of gas. There are more than enough customers who will gladly pay $700 for accommodations that have a retail value of $1,400 to $1,800 for a week at a high quality resort. They see the value.

If you were paying only $700 or your Bonus Week, that is only $100 per night for accommodations that would otherwise cost you about $300 per night. Saving around 66% off the price of quality resort property is an incredible value. Even travel agents don't get that rate. I believe the most they get is about 50% off and that is only if the hotel is around less than 75% occupied?

The 2 for 1 is only $399 for a week that is worth around $1,400. Evan that is way too underpriced and should be higher, especially when you see $500 -$1,000 for week with the larger exchange companies.

Prices that are too low diminish and dilute the value of the timeshare interests.

There are other companies out there that do have prices of less than $399 but what you get is all "relative". That is not the SFX business model which is structured on a system of quality... not quantity.

The Mexico Bonus Week may be requested for any quality resort in Mexico except for the Grand Mayan Resorts.

          Hope this helps..

By the way, what resort/s do you own at?
