Fellow Smuggs owner wants to go to San Francisco

A fellow Smuggs owner who isn't yet savvy on trading alternative (but hopefully will be soon as I gave him the address of all of the timeshare sites and also informed him about alternative exchange companies) is interested in going to San Francisco. His kids are grown so he has no constraints as far as which week of the year he would prefer. I immediately thought of SFX for obvious reasons.

Realistically, how easy or difficult is it for him to get to San Francisco using a Smuggs week? He would be using his float week, so it wouldn't be a prime summer week, but could still be a red week from September, October, or April. I guess an additional question would be, what type of week would he need to be able to deposit to get a week in San Francisco?

Although San Francisco can be a very difficult destination to exchange into, needless to say SFX has a very high exchange fulfillment rate for San Francisco.

If your friend could deposit any week between September through October 15, that would qualify.

Mark, surely you accept mid June to Mid August, Summer when kids are out of school and they run camps for kids. I'd certainly like to go then.

I had told him that the only weeks this guy would have to deposit would be his off season weeks, and the best off season weeks would probably be April, September and October.

Hi Spence ... you are absolutely right. A prime Mid-June through August week has much higher demand, however the op stated in their post they are unable to book a prime summer week.

September through mid-October has strong appeal for the empty-nesters; those who wish to travel when the kids are back in school and the weather is still usually wonderful.

I visited the last week in September a few years ago for leaf peeping and would go back - great time of year to visit.
