gold vs Platinum membership

Hi Mark,

Welcome back!

I am a bit confused about whether I can place a search being a gold member.

The SFX web site stated
"A deposit first is required prior to placing a request".

If I have a deposit week sitting in my account, can I place a search requests for the bonus week and the regular week without becoming a platinum member?

Also, does the available week go to a platinum member first before it is given to the gold member.

Hi Martin - Thank you for your post.

As a Gold Member you must deposit your week first before you can place a request for your exchange.

If you are a Platinum Member, you can Deposit first or Request first. But in requesting first your priority is lower than those who deposit first.

Yes. As a Gold Member you can start a search for either your Exchange Week and/or your Bonus Week as long as you have a credit for your deposited week in your account.

Not necessarily so. Platinum Membership does not give you higher trading power over Gold Members. It simply has more benefits and lower costs.

Does sfx offer 1 year platinum membership? I do not see the 1-year rate at

If I join 3 or 5 years platinum membership and cancel before the expiration date, will sfx refund the unused years/months amount?

Martin - thank you for your post. A one year Platinum Membership is only $89. It is actually stated in the Membership application but also needs to be added to the Platinum web page.
