Bluegreen resorts?

I know you've answered this question in the "Will SFX Accept My Week" thread, but I'm repeating it in a separate thread because I'm getting conflicting information from this site, other boards (which I'm taking with a very heavy grain of salt!) and my own telephonic communications with SFX.

The Question: Which Bluegreen resorts will SFX accept and during what time periods?

According to you in the "Will SFX Accept My Week" thread, SFX accepts the following:

• Lodge Alley Inn in Charleston, SC
• Big Cedar Wilderness Club near Branson, MO
• Solara Surfside in Miami, FL

I've also seen rumors that SFX will also accept The Fountains in Orlando (which does make some sense -- it's RCI Gold Crown and highly rated on Trip Advisor).

BUT! In talking to the super nice folks at SFX, I was told:

1. Lodge Alley is not in the system. (Very disappointing, as that's my deeded resort and to my knowledge in a highish-demand location with low-supply.)
2. Fountains is not in the system. (Less of a shock, as I know there are oodles of Orlando resorts.)
3. On the bright side, in addition to Solara and Big Cedar, I was told that SFX will also accept:
   • Casa Del Mar in Ormond Beach, FL
   • Fantasy Island II in Daytona Beach Shores, FL
   • Via Roma on Anna Maria Island, FL
   • Falls Village in Branson, MO
   • Harbour Lights in Myrtle Beach, SC
   • Shore Crest I and II in North Myrtle Beach, SC
   • La Cabana in Aruba
4. Another rep said SFX would accept other Gold Crown Bluegreen resorts, including:
   • Daytona Seabreeze in Daytona Beach Shores, FL
   • the Fountains in Orlando, FL
   • Grande Villas at World Golf Village in St. Augustine, FL
   • Hammocks at Marathon in Marathon, FL
   
   She didn't mention Lodge Alley at that time though (which is Gold Crown).

So as you can imagine, I'm getting confused! I'm also getting confused as to which weeks are prime for which resort... Some clarification would be most appreciated!

Updated SFX-Bluegreen Resort list

Virginia - thank you for taking the time to present this post..... We are sorry for any misunderstandings that may have occurred regarding which Bluegreene Resorts we accept as deposits. Today the list was redefined, and are as follows.

• Lodge Alley Inn in Charleston, SC (June 15 - Sept.7).
  
• Big Cedar Wilderness Club near Branson, MO (June 15 - Sept.7, Thanksgiving).
  
• Solara Surfside in Miami, FL (Jan 15 - April, Xmas, New Year, Thanksgiving)
  
• Fountains, Orlando (Feb - Easter, June 15 - Sept.7, Xmas, New Year, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving).
  
• Casa Del Mar in Ormond Beach, FL (Jan 15 - Easter, June 15 - Sept 7, Xmas, New Year, Thanksgiving).

Just as an FYI, I visited each of the 5 Bluegreen resorts in Myrtle Beach. I believe that Shorecrest I is by far the best resort of the 5.

Since you are accepting Carolina Grande and Harbour Lights, I would consider adding Shorecrest I and II onto your accept list.

Also, I believe that Daytona Seabreeze is a nicer resort that Casa Del Mar.

Lastly, I am surprised you didn't consider the Hammock's at Marathon. Since your availability is so tight for the keys, this is an excellent resort.

In any event, I think your list is fine as it is. Just adding some personal observations.

Mark, for Harbour Lights and Carolina Grande, did you mean to say except Memorial Day since the dates you have listed already include Memorial Day.

We have a small beach shack in MB and never ever go down or allow anyone to use the place over Memorial Day.

Memorial Day is the last Monday in May. Perhaps you are confusing it with Labor Day?

BocaBum - thanks for the feedback. Actually Hammock's and Shorecrest were on my list but must have hit the save button before I added them. I will go back and ammend the online list to include them.

You know what, Pat? I hope you or others do not think I am throwing off on Mark. I think he is extremely helpful and a very beneficial part of this website. Human errors do occur. I just did not want others in Bluegreen to do something stupid like I did and then feel the let down, ya know?

I still intend to search for another deposit that SFX will accept because I happen to think they probably do the best job around.

And, Cory and I have exchanged several communications and he knows that I think Mark is teriffic and dedicated.

So, Mark......here's to you....

I agree. Mark is a credit to SFX. My main interest is in accuracy and that he's aware of posts which may not be directed to him specifically, but concern SFX.

Getting it right, not who's right, yeah?
