Realistic exchange request

Thinking about my next SFX exchange request, I want to make it a realistic one . There was a thread on another board where SFX members posted the exchanges and bonus weeks they'd received or been offered. Hawaii and Mexico were the clear leaders. Would it be safe to assume that Hawaii and Mexico are the two areas where SFX gets the most inventory or can most easily find inventory to fill exchange requests? Or is it simply a case of most requests being for Hawaii and Mexico?

Hawaii and Mexico are two of the most demanded vacation destinations, we do access a lot of inventory in both locations, and perhaps that is why you see a lot of "chat" about it.

However... we also access a lot of inventory in many other locations as well, both in the US and other countries.

As this relates to access, I wished to link my post in the thread referenced by the OP. From reading it, the question was on my mind.

Are Marriott's like the Hotel California (the old Eagle's song)? You can deposit but never receive?

That's a possibility....

I'm going to go back and peruse that thread. There are a lot of heavy hitter TUG'ers who own Marriott's. I'll see if any names pop up and I'll contact them privately.

I guess we'll find out soon enough. All I own are Marriott's.....

We'd planning to travel to europe next spring. We have a free hotel in Paris for a week and would like a week in London anytime in April or May for a couple. Is this realistic?

Bill - thank you for your post.

No matter which exchange company you use, the demand for London is far greater than the supply of space. There are only a couple of very small good quality properties in excellent locations, and the whole world wants to go there.

Although we do get space from London, it is best to give you a low expectation, and hopefully surprise with great results. You may want to also consider the English countryside and go to London for a couple of day trips as a plan B.

I'm not sure if this will show up as a duplicate posting due to the server problems, so I apologize in advance if it is. How realistic is it to get an exchange on the Big Island for Xmas week 2007? I know you preach flexibility, but it is just about the only week that my 20 something yr old kids can travel with us. Is either the week before or week after any easier?
