Think of the bonus week as a cheap rental. Perhaps I misunderstand, but, for bonus weeks, the stated price (399.00) is all the member pays. For the parent deposit, when exchanged, the member pays the appropriate exchange fee (129/149), and no other fees, except perhaps an upgrade/guest fee, depending upon membership level.
This is the first time I used SFX and used my bonus week. just checked my credit card and was charged 548.00 so all I can figure was I was charged 399.00 for the bonus week and 149.00 for an exchange fee. I thought this didn't sound right.
Mark, is this correct?

I am not Mark ......but Bonus Weeks have different price points depending on when you deposited your week.
The total that you gave could be....
$399 for a 1BR Bonus week and $149 for an upgrade to a 2BR?
Did you take a 2BR Bonus Week?

That's what it sounds like to me...an upgrade. If the OP is a Platinum member, we can be pretty assured of that, since the Platinum exchange fee is 129.00.
I am a gold member, I deposited a 2 bedroom and am getting a 2 bedroom in return as I see it, no upgrade of any kind. It is truly puzzling? Or all bonus weeks considered one bedrooms? I hadn't thought of that possibility?
Terms & Conditions of Bonus Week(s): Units offered for Bonus Weeks are one-bedroom suites (maximum occupancy is 4 people), except for San Francisco where the unit may be a studio or hotel unit. Larger units and holidays may be requested for an additional upgrade fee and all space is subject to availability. Based on supply and demand factors, certain locations and/or resorts may only qualify for a maximum of one Bonus Week. This offer is subject to the then current Terms & Conditions of The San Francisco Exchange Company. All travel must be completed by stated expiration date, and will not be extended. Values of a Bonus Weeks are approximate and may be higher or lower depending on the location and/or season traveled. SFX reserves the right to decline unqualified deposits at any time. Bonus Weeks are not available in New York City or Grand Mayan Resort properties. You are responsible for any and all other related costs. **Mexico Bonus Weeks will not be awarded to members that deposit after January 31, 2007. To qualify for any of the above, you can not request an exchange or Bonus Week back to your home resort. Void where prohibited.
There's the answer, I didn't do all my homework! No that's great I'll keep the two bedroom. I just thought that it stunk I would get an exchange fee that's all. Didn't realize bonus weeks were one bedrooms. Thanks for doing all my homework for me Pat I am so pleased that SFX found me an exchange in only a couple of days. It's at Sedona Springs over 4th of July in 2007. Can you say the word "HOT" We're okay with that though. Hopefully they'll have some nice fireworks going on when we're there.
Thanks again, Laurie
I am not the OP but thank you for that link for I was not privy to the terms of the promo. I still wonder why I don't qualify for the 3 for 1? My Hawaii week is 6/11 to 6/18 and though it crosses the grid-Mark, you originally said it would qualify as prime since half of it is prime. Shouldn't I have been offered this promo? Even so-you said I could have 2 for 1-would the bonus week still be 399.00 if I deposit early or are there other conditions for the 2 for 1? When will I receive that solicitation or is that automatic upon early deposit of my 2007 week?
