  • Diamond Rewards Membership

    Greetings All,

    It has been a while since I have traded with SFX, but decided to give it another try. I am now a Diamond Rewards member (is this the new Platinum Rewards? Or is the Platinum rewards emails I am now getting for something else?

    Either way, I see that one of the benefits of Diamond Rewards is "Online Exchange Available". Can anyone explain how this would work? I have to say this is the one downfall of SFX so far is just the inability to just see what they have, if this has changed it would be great.

    A few other interesting benefits I see listed include

    1. Cruise Exchange - Trade Your Week Towards A Cruise Vacation
    2. Tour Vacation - Trade Your Week Towards A Tour Vacation
    3. Full Service Travel Concierge

    I would assume at least for the first two the conversion rate is not that good, but would still be interested in learning more about it just so I know what options exist.

    Other than that, I was quite happy to snag a Sell-Off 3BR for this weekend, so that will be enjoyed starting tomorrow.

    Thanks for any assistance anyone can provide, it is appreciated.

    Portable Tech - Thank you for your post. That is correct, we have re-branded Platinum Rewards to Diamond Rewards. A number of Members were confusing Platinum Rewards with our regular Platinum Membership.

    The conversion rate for Cruises is good. This feature can have significant savings for higher end cruises, not the lower end. For Land Tours, it's too new to determine at this time.

    With regards to "Online Exchange"... Coming very soon, this feature will be enabled. We are estimating possibly by the end of February.

    Any weeks that will be viewable for online booking, will represent a very small percentage of space deposited with SFX. Typically this will be space we have no immediate requests for, from our Member base.

    As with other exchange companies, in most instances when the highest demanded weeks are deposited, they are immediately booked for Members who have previously placed a search for their request. We believe most exchanges are confirmed by placing an active Request and allowing the Search process to take place.

    We are confident, this will be an attractive feature and benefit for our Members.

      Thank you for the response, I look forward to the addition of the online inventory. While I certainly understand how long term searches will yield better results, it is just not always possible in my line of work.

      So, assuming that the Diamond Rewards is really the Platinum Rewards, I went back through my emails and found my login information for the Platinum rewards folks and attempted to login, but it does not work. I spoke with them on the phone and they indicated that my account with them had expired. Is there a new site, or perhaps a new login that I should be using as a Diamond Rewards member now? The link from my account when I login is to the older Platinum Rewards site. I would love to get details about how these additional benefits work.

      Also, in regards to the promo which I used to get my Diamond Rewards membership, am I limited to only using that once, or could I deposit an additional week and get more free time in that program beyond what I was already given, assuming my next deposit also meet the requirements?
